Dilemma Part Three

         A few weeks later Mimi calls you into her office. Slightly worried that you may have done something wrong you knock on her door nervously.
You enter after being invited in saying "You wanted to see me" with trepidation.
"Ah Y/n, thank you for coming to see me. She says but does not look at you, as she is busy with the important looking documents on her desk.
"Am I in trouble? Did I do something wrong? You ask quietly and look down at the floor as you fiddle with your fingers.

"What, er... oh no! On the contrary my dear" she says as she looks up and smiles at you, gesturing for you to take a seat. "Forgive me for being so distracted. We have a little bit of a dilemma on our hands just now and that is where you can help – so stop worrying Y/n" she adds, as she must see the tension on your face. "In fact, you can become our saviour if you accept this assignment, which I certainly hope that you do, but I will not lie it is going to be a lot of hard work for you – a real challenge"

Smiling with relief you ask "Of Course, how can I help? I never shy away from a challenge."
As she begins to speak, the enormity of what you're being asked to do starts to wash over you; and at the mere mention of BTS you start to zone out for a moment. You mentally slap yourself – listen stupid!

"So, with a skeleton staff, the show must go on. Do you think you will be able to handle all of the members' hair/makeup/styling for the 4 day trip?
You just stare at her wide eyed and full of fear for a moment.
She smiles "Y/n breathe...I know you cannot deal with it all completely on your own, but you will be acting head stylist and will have a team of three to work with you. Everything is finalised. The final outfits just have to be approved by the members, although there will be an endless array of accessories for you to advise on to go with their outfits/concept with them; but your reputation precedes you. They asked if you might be available to take over"
You are speechless, completely dumbfounded. This is such a fantastic opportunity.

When you eventually regain use of your mouth, you gush a little "OMG! Really! They asked for me? Do you think I can handle this much work? I mean, I would love to have this opportunity of course, but I have never worked with men before" You say without taking a breath.
She reassures you that she had no worries about accepting their request and that she had faith that you will do very well, in fact, she says she would have suggested you herself had they not asked first.

When you return to the dressing room area you are still in shock and also acutely aware that you have to pick 3 of the team to go with you. This could get awkward. You are going to be working in close proximity with these girls and getting along will be paramount, but it also means leaving one behind.
How to be diplomatic????
Also, you know 2 of them are not going to be happy that you have been chosen over them to head the team and you think telling them that BTS personally asked for you may make it worse. You decide to think it through a little before making a decision.
Later that afternoon you meet with Mimi to finalise the team. Between you it is decided that you will take the 2 new ladies and Jisoo with you, leaving Jessica to stay at base. Your reason for making this decision......she is the most senior and experienced stylist and the most capable to deal with all 6 girls alone for the 4 days.

Mimi calls a meeting in the dressing room with all stylists and the members of the group to explain the situation – the entire BTS team have been struck by a bug, but luckily the members had been taking a break for a few days and have not been affected – and to make the announcement that you will be heading a team to take a short trip with them.
You immediately feel an intense stare from Jessica, she is definitely not happy! But as Mimi continues with the briefing, she begins to smirk a little as she is praised by Mimi. You just hope that by splitting her and Jisoo will work and that Jisoo will have your back during the trip. Only time will tell.

Once everyone is dismissed. Mimi shoots a sympathetic look your way and says, "Jisoo is a nice girl, but sadly, influenced by Jessica. I noticed the reaction Jessica had to the news and her looking at you – but do not worry I will deal with her while you are away and speak with Jisoo before you leave and spell it out for her."
You thank her and politely take your leave, as you have an important meeting with BTS tomorrow you need to be well rested. You want to make a good impression on them.

There are some snide comments being made the next morning from Jessica (and Jisoo) with regard to your 'appointment' and you do your level best to ignore them, but it is proving very difficult. Eventually you decided to tackle her head on.

"Jessica Unnie, I am sorry that you feel I should not have been chosen for the task, but the fact is I have! Yes, I chose the team with Mimi, and the reason you are to remain here is simple – You, by far, have the most experience here and it will be invaluable to the girls whilst the rest of us are on the trip. I could not think of anyone better to handle this difficult situation."
She stares at you, eyes wide and opens her mouth to speak but closes it again not saying a word.
"I hope I do not speak out of turn, but I really want us to get along and I think we could be a great team. I wish to learn from you, your experience is invaluable."
At last she smiles at you, it is the first genuine smile she has given you since you were introduced.
"Good luck with the trip, go knock em dead" she says, then grabs you for a hug.
You are shocked, but relieved, as you're already so nervous about meeting BTS and Sejin, their Manager, later today.

You go for an early lunch at 12:00; the meeting is at 13:00 and you are too excited and nervous to eat much. Jessica and Jisoo notice this and are being really sweet; helping you with the nerves, which you think is lovely and you feel that Jisoo will not cause the trouble you had worried that she might.

You're glad that Jessica has your back.

At 12:50 precisely you enter the boardroom for the meeting and you are completely floored to see CEO, Bang Si-Hyuk, who greets you warmly. He is standing next to Mimi who offers you a warm smile.
Waiting patiently, you chat amongst yourselves for about 10 minutes: when a brief knock on the door attracts your attention. It opens to reveal Sejin and BTS entering the room.

You stand and move to the side of the room and wait to be introduced to him and the BTS members, giving each a small bow and greeting.
Your eyes fix on Taehyung as he stares intensely at you – Your mind is racing; your bias is standing in front of you looking as hot AF.
Until it is interrupted by Jimin, who clears his throat, smiles, gives a small bow then envelopes you in a hug and says happily, "Hello again Y/n-ssi, I am so pleased you accepted to come on the trip with us," with a huge smile on his face.
You are temporarily stunned by his forward display of affection, as it seems, are all the other people in the room.
You all then take your seats and the meeting begins.

Three hours later, all the details have been finalised and the schedule for the trip has been discussed thoroughly, the meeting is concluded. You will be leaving for the airport, from the office, 2 days from now at 6am to travel to the airport. Oh Yes! I forgot to mention, the trip is fan meets and concerts in Japan! Everyone starts filing out of the room as you take a final look at the Itinerary.

You hear his voice and look up a little bemused.
"Y/n, I am sorry if I was little forward earlier, only you looked a little shocked when I hugged you, I hope I did not offend you? I am just so excited that we have the great Y/n on our team."
You smile at him and blush a little "Jimin-ssi please do not worry you did not offend me, just took me a little by surprise is all – and I must say it will be an honour to work with you all."
His eyes sparkle until they disappear completely from the huge smile that crosses his face. Then he says "Good, I am glad" and winks at you before turning on his heel and leaving the room.
For a few moments you stare at the open doorway that he just disappeared through.
Shaking your head, a chuckle escapes your mouth as you smile to yourself processing another encounter with him.
