Chapter 11: "I can't believe she's doing it"

Chi's POV:

As soon as Vi fainted, Alessandro caught her. He was right behind her, nurses came and took her to the next room to be examined. I hope nothings horribly wrong with her because I know she would hate that. Then Carlo, Diego, and Gio left the room to go be with Vi. Leaving me with Alessandro, Dom, and Eddie. Alessandro of course was the first one to speak up.

"Why didn't you tell us?" -He says with a sad look in his eyes.

"Well I guess we were scared, of you and also of Mike and Jane" -I say not looking at him.

"I'm sorry you guys felt like you couldn't trust us" -He then says softly.

"It's not your fault we don't trust easily. Well unless you were the ones that abandoned us, because if you were then yes it is your fault" -I say sarcastically.

"You know we didn't abandon you guys. On the day you were born, you guys were born prematurely, so the doctor left both of you in the NICU. It was heartbreaking for us, but it was the only way you would get stronger. Then a few days passed, and there was a break-in at the hospital. It was the day you guys were going to get discharged. I was 11, Carlo was 9, and Dom was 8. Our parents told us to take care of Diego, Eddie, and Gio, who were ages 3,2, and 1. It was hard, but we tried to hide them in the hospital room. Then a few hours later our parents came in. They just started crying and our mom broke down, she just couldn't stop crying. Our dad tried to calm her down by telling her that we would find you, but she just kept telling herself that she was a bad mother. Years later they said they got a lead on you guys, our parents went in a car to try and find you, but on the way they another vehicle crashed into them and they were killed. I was already 22, so I was made legal guardian of our brothers. It was hard, but I managed, now we finally found you guys and I wish that our parents were here to see you. They would be so proud." -That's what Alessandro says and I start crying. At least I know they didn't want to give us up, and we were taken. And wow, our parents died when we were 11.

I don't know how to feel it's sad to know that the people that gave you life were killed trying to find you, but I didn't know them and for years we despised them, all I could do was hug Alessandro. He was shocked, to say the least, but he eventually hugged me back. Then Dom and Eddie came to join us, with tears in their eyes.

A while passed and it was already nighttime, I think around 7:00. That's when I heard loud yelling coming from the next door room. I was trying to figure out who was yelling, and I heard the voice of Vi. I hear her talking about me and I look over to my brothers who were just as confused as me. Then when she finishes I hear a loud bang. I try to get up and go see what happened, but Dom stops me and says that he and Alessandro will go see what's wrong.

After a while, they come back and say that Vi had fainted after calling Diego out. That made me laugh, but then I realized that was the second time that Vi had fainted.

"Hey I don't think that Vi fainting is normal, is she okay?" -I ask Alessandro.

"Well the doctor said she hadn't eaten a lot today and her body fainting was just a reminder that she hadn't. They said that we need to watch both you and her in eating, because you both are a bit underweight" -He says with concern.

"Oh, but what if we get full?" -I ask genuinely scared that I couldn't eat enough for him.

"Well your just going to have to keep eating and he says the next appointment he would like both of you to gain 5 pounds" -He then explains.

I didn't know what to say so I just nodded, I guess I'll have to try and eat more.

"You know what, I think I'm just going to get some rest" -I say to my brothers.

"Yeah that's fine, but the doctor wanted to know if you wanted to share a room with Vi" -Dom then said.

"Oh, well of course" -I say like it's the most obvious thing in the world.

He nods and then a few people come in to the room. They lift up the rails of the hospital bed and roll me into the next room, that's where I see Vi sleeping.

"I'm going to bed, I'll see you guys in the morning" -I say to my brothers while they leave

"Goodnight" -I then say to Vi before I lean into the darkness.

Vi's POV:

I wake up with no one in the same room, why do I feel a bit abandoned. Anyways I look around and actually, I see Chi in the bed right next to me. I feel much better knowing that she's here with me.

I decide to wake her up since I'm really freaking bored, and maybe she'll help.

"Hey Chi, you should probably wake up" -I say.

"For why?" -She says tiredly.

"Did you just say for why?" -I say laughing at her.

"Yes, that's what I said, for why" -She says while groaning.

"Okay well for I am bored and you are the only one here in my room" -I say answering her answer.

"Uggggggh, fine I'll wake up. What do you want to do?" -She then asks me.

"We can watch the TV I guess" -I say shrugging towards her.

We turned on the hospitals Tv and the show supernatural was on. I actually have never seen it before, but Chi says it was good. I was never one to watch a lot of shows.

A few hours passed and eventually the doctors said that both of us were clear to go. We had spent 2 days in the hospital, and I'm really glad we're done. The doctor left me with a bunch of pain meds for my cracked rib. That was the most serious injury I have, because Jane was a weak ass kicker. I wish that Chi and I could have switched places, she was so much more broken then me. I wished that she would open up to more people, I'm glad she finally made a good friend.

We make it back to the house and Alessandro says that both of us have to go upstairs and get some rest. He carries Chi up to her room, and Dom carries me up to my room. I wished that he would've left me in my new art room because I am so bored in my room. You know what, screw it, I'm going to go into the room.

But on my way I hear a beautiful melody playing. I know exactly what it is and my heart soars, she hasn't played the piano for a few months. But wow, she is still really good. I decide to follow the music and to my surprise I see some of our brothers looking into the room, they probably didn't know she could play that well. All I can think of is,

"I can't believe she's doing it"

Hey sorry if I'm late in updating, I'm pretty busy, now that the winter break is over. AP psych is kind of killing me right now, but I'll try and catch up on updating. This is not really my best chapter, (I personally don't like it) it's kind of like a recap of lasts chapters view, but from Chiara's view.
