“I can’t believe I let you convince me to get on this death trap,” A shaky voice let out as the ride began moving along.

“You said if I went with you on the Merry-go-Round, I could choose our next ride,” the other voice replied, letting out a breathy laugh at the sight of his sulky partner, “This just so happens to be my favorite ride here.”

Yoongi, taking his gaze off the ground beneath them, squinted critically at the other, “You’re so--” he paused, looking at the other’s amused expression, before shaking his head, laughing lightly,

“You’re very backwards.” A deep laugh escaped the younger’s lips, his dimples making an appearance to match the bright expression; Yoongi couldn’t help but chuckle along.

Ferris wheels were most definitely not his cup of tea; he typically did his best to steer clear of the spinning torture device. But something about the way Namjoon’s eyes became alight when he asked Yoongi if they could go made his heart do things. What was he meant to do? Say no?

“So you’re telling me that you had more fun riding mechanical horses that go around in a circle, while cheesy music plays in the background?” He asked with his eyebrows raised slightly in a playful manner.

“It’s fun!”

“Yeah, I guess you would find a ride like that fun,” A small smirk played on his lips, “You’re practically the same size as the kids who like the ride, too.”

Several light punches landed on Namjoon’s arm in response, laughter quickly escaping his lips at the older’s reaction. Yoongi hated the teasing he got for his height, but he couldn’t help but get flustered when Namjoon did.

“Stupid beanstalk,” Yoongi huffed when he leaned back in his spot, his arms loosely wrapped around his body.

The air had grown chilly as the moon brightened in the sky, the life down in the amusement park was alight. The buzz of the people matched the shining lights that decorated the array of rides that continued to go.

The pair couldn’t help but smile down at it all.

But, a quick breeze blew through their seats, shaking the passenger car and throwing Yoongi out of his daze. The movement lasted only a few moments, but Yoongi had already reached out for Namjoon, clutching onto his arm and leaned his head into his shoulder.

“Are we dead yet?”

“That’s a little dramatic, Yoongi,” Namjoon snorted in response, “It was just some wind.”

“What do you mean!” Yoongi’s voice was muffled into the younger’s sweater, his grip around Namjoon’s arm is unbudgeable, “It was nothing short of a tornado..”

Silence had fallen for a moment between the two, the sound of the life surrounding them quickly taking its place back in their ears until Namjoon’s eyes began to glow with an idea.

“I think I have an idea to get you to love Ferris wheels..”

Namjoon could feel the slight shake of the other’s head on his arm, “I doubt it’s gonna work.”

“Just trust me.” Namjoon moved to unravel Yoongi’s arms from around his, turning him so they were facing each other.

They sat, faces inches apart in such a small place, their breaths tangling with each other as the sound of the wind and buzz died down slowly.

Even the wind seemed to die down in their ears. Yoongi wondered if Namjoon could even hear the heavy beating in his chest.

God, he hated how his breath caught in his throat, how with a single movement Namjoon could capture all of his attention and flood his thoughts completely.

“So what’s the idea, genius?” He asked, his voice, meant to come out sarcastic, but only heard as a mumbling whisper.

A smirk played along Namjoon’s lips; Yoongi could see the dancing stars in his eyes.

“Kiss me.”
