Chapter 5: The Devil Python!

Toriko and Coco stare up at the horrific monster in terror, frozen in place.

"It's gigantic!!" Coco yells.

"It's the ruler of these caves: The Devil python!" Toriko shouts. And indeed the name fits it well. Not only a capture level of 21 but its three beady eyes and fangs and claws of red no one would not feel a bit of fear in it's presence.

Then again, that is debatable

The two gourmet hunters grit their teeth, ready for whatever attack it will launch. The thing roars, an aerie sound that no creature on our earth could ever dream of making. The cave around the two men shake, small pieces of stone that were loose falling to the ground.

"That screeching is brutal!" Toriko grunts out, eyes closed in pain at the deafening sound.

"If it matches the cave's natural frequency it could collapse!" Coco shouts over the deafening sound. Bats flee the cave as it trembles, even by the cave entrance the devil python is heard. Bandits and whoever else remains up there shudder and flinch, hoping whatever it is stays down there.

Tina tries to steady herself from the mini earthquake, Zonge and his crew right behind her, all outside and safe. "Hey, what in the stewed beets was that?"

Bats flock out of the cave entrance in dozens, not caring for the bright sunlight.

"their afraid." Zonge says.

"Yeah but of what!" one of his men reply.

The cave entrance suddenly collapses, rubble replacing the huge structure as the four humans scream. Dust clouds rise from the fallen boulders and cover the rock landscape around it. As the dust clears Tina looks up fro her crouched position, slowly standing as her wide eyes scan the damage before her. Zonge and his two followers are unharmed and staring with bulging eyes and wide mouth.

"Y/n . . ." Tina whispers in fear, a small pang of fear piercing her at the thought of you, her newest friend who she has come to enjoy your company, in danger.

"Well, in my expert opinion there's been some kind of cave in." Zonge states with pride, the two men behind him nodding their heads.

"DUH! Of course there's been a cave in you big old meat head!" Tina yells. She reaches into her backpack, taking out a laptop, "I swear you all have rotten sweet breads for brains." she opens the device and begins typing. The three men watch in wonder as she clicks onto an icon which immediately goes onto a camera feed showing a dark tunnel. The balloon pigeon lands on Tina's shoulder and chirps, watching the feed intensely.

"Checkin' out FoodTube?" Zonge asks over her shoulder.

"Something like that." Tina says seriously, "A little cave in isn't going to stop my new soofle from rising. After my crew ditched me I hid a pin hole camera in that helmet so I had another shot at the scoop. Like dad always says, 'If ya wanna get ahead plan ahead." she states while typing away.

Zonge stands up tall with his usual proud smirk and crosses his arms, "Yeah, sugar. I fell the same way, that's why I'm about eighteen moves ahead of my competition! It sounds like you and I have lots of things in common. Ever thought about joining a gourmet hunters group, as in joining with my group as in joining with me in a hug fest!" he chuckles.

"There he goes again putting his foot in his mouth." one of his men sigh.

However Tina ignores the caveman, focused on the live feed. "What's going on over there?" Muffled sounds come from the screen as well as the view of some sort of clothing "Where's Komatsu." the face of a bearded man wearing a bandanna comes into view, "And who's that?"
