Chapter 6: Lets eat some Puffer whale!

The monster before you is much larger than the one the two heavenly kings faced. It's colour is more of a dark-purple-almost-black pigment instead of the bright purple. The very sight of it makes Komatsu shake with terror, you still unconscious however slowly waking up.

"IT'S A DEMON DEVIL PYTHON!!" the man screams in terror. He shakes with terror, the beast having been his worst nightmare. He immediately knows what to do, not stopping for a minute in pity or anything. "Take this!"
He throws a screaming Komatsu at the beast, you right behind him. You land with a loud thud before the beast, screaming in pain as you suddenly wake. Your eyes snap open, barely comprehending the situation, only feeling pain in your ribs. "Y-yeah! full up on those two!" he bolts away, you just barely making out what he said.

He laughs madly as he makes his getaway, thinking he is now out of danger and able to capture the puffer whales and get a ton of money.

He comes to an abrupt halt, screaming in pure terror at the beasts before him. Dozens of Scorpion roaches (is that what they're called? I forgot) stand in front of him. Before he even has the time to register anything more the insects attack, their many sharp teeth glistening with thick saliva in what little light there is.

Komatsu frantically crawls towards your curled body. He just tried not to think of the monster and get to you so you two can get out of here!
You open your eyes, seeing the walls of the of the cave and temporarily thinking this is a dream, however the second Komatsu grabs your hands you snap out of it and come back to reality.

. . . at least that reality

Above you the Demon devil python screeches, spotting its tiny prey with insane, hungry eyes. You curse under your breath in fear and back away from the beast, Komatsu doing the same. What happened? Why were you asleep and how come you smell blood! You can see the horrid beast perfectly and all you can say is you wish it looked more like it did in the anime. The details are terrifying, its fangs dripping with saliva with a tint of green you know is venom. Its eyes shake you to the core, all you can do is stare in horror at it with your whole being paralysed in fear.

Above ground four humans are crowded around a laptop, witnessing the beast stare right into the camera. All sweating and shaking.

"The little sprouts in trouble." Caveman says with Tina's partner in his hands.

"Brain low on sugar!" Tina bites into a large slab of chocolate, stress eating at a inhuman rate. Her newest best friend is about to be eaten by a snake! She needs brain power! (Oh god I can't stop laughing I'm sorry 🤣)

"We have to hurry up and get to Komatsu before it's too late." Coco says walking quickly. Toriko is behind him, carrying a circle of meat on his back - that shouldn't be possible.

"No need to speed walk! Like I keep trying to tell you: I gave Komatsu a secret weapon." Toriko smirks.

Komatsu desperately digs in his backpack, the python having not yet attacked. You are frozen beside him, eyes glued to that of the beast.

"There it is!" you can tell Komatsu is on the brink of tears and you can't blame him, the fact that his adrenaline has even kicked in is outstanding to you. Komatsu brings out a cone like shape, you pale even more. "Please work!"

Toriko had given these things to Komatsu on the train to Coco, calling them his home made firecrackers. He used ten times the recommended gunpowder and the second you saw them you saw this all happening. Apparently the boom of the objects would trigger any beast's fear impulse, which is completely understandable. The things are LOUD! So loud in fact that Toriko gave you both ear plugs and warned you to put them in before lighting them. Or else . . .
