this is it! i'm here in minnesota! about a week ago i was playing hockey with my team in southport north carolina when mr.tibbles of hendrix hockey apparel came into my hockey practice and said that he wanted me to play in the junior goodwil games representing team usa!! i was told that there will be 5 other new kids along with me so i wasn't going to be the only knew one.
"hi" i heard a voice and i turned around and saw a girl with strawberry blonde hair dressed in a pair of jeans and a sweatshirts that said maine on it, she was carrying luggage and hockey equipment so i assumes she was playing hockey.
"hello" i said nicely and held my hand out to shake in which she took. "i'm wendy lane, what's yours?"
"julie gaffney!" she said sweetly, "are you playing in the junior goodwil games too?" she asked curiously, "i am, i'm assuming you are too!" "yes! i'm actually a goalie, what are you?" she said with a smile. "i play left center! i used to do figure skating but quit when i was younger because hockey seemed more interesting so i still can do cool tricks what led me to be here." i said proud. "wow that's so cool! you definitely need to teach me some tricks" "of course! are we staying together in the same room?" i asked curious. "maybe, what room are you? i'm room 514" "oh my gosh so am i! i said excited. as we were walking julie told me all about maine and i told her about southport. when we got to our hotel room we stayed up most of the night talking about the mighty ducks and the other recruits, apparently there's a girl on the ducks so that seems cool! hopefully the 3 of us girls will be like the 3 musketeers. at around 11:30 we went to bed since we had to be up at 12 tomorrow to meet our team.
-the next morning-
my alarm that i set last night went off at 9:30, me and julie decided to get up and go downstairs to get breakfast. when we got downstairs we saw tibbles with 4 guys. one was very tall and had muscles, one looked latino and very cute I might add, the other one was wearing a cowboy hat and looked adorable, and the last one was very short but looked very sweet. tibbles saw us and called us over.
"girls, come over here! meet the other recruits for team usa!" he said excited. julie and i walked over and we soon found out that there names were dean,luis, dwayne, and ken. i also found out that ken was one a figure skater so i knew me and him would get along. at 10:15 we all went back up to our rooms and hung out for a while until it was time to get ready to meet our team. i was super nervous. what if they don't like me? what if i don't get along with them? ugh, hopefully i do.
