off day

-3rd person pov-
today they gave us an off day since we've been practicing non stop since we got here, which was very nice of them.

i woke up with a smile on my face from last night, it was amazing. adam is so sweet and amazing. julie and connie were still sleeping, it was only 9 and it was our off day so i decided to let them sleep. i decided to go out and get some breakfast. when i walked out of my dorm i saw adam walk out as well. i practically ran to him and hugged him. however, the hug didn't feel very loving and didn't feel like he was happy to see me. i pulled away and looked at him.
"are you ok? what's wrong?" i said looking at adam with concern
"nothing i think i'm just homesick, i miss my mom, my brother, my dog, surprisingly my dad, and minnesota. i just miss it." he said looking at me and then hugging me and lifting me off the ground spinning me around as i laughed.
"sorry if i seemed rude." he said looking at me when he stopped
"don't apologize, you feel homesick, that's understandable."
adam and i then for breakfast and then the whole team came down and ate with us. 
the rest of the day the team and i decided to do a movie day for half the day then go swimming in the pool they have here. we had a cannonball competition and a handstand competition, it was really fun. adam and i even snuck a few cheek kisses underwater.
adam walked me back to my dorm when we both changed, we had a very long kiss, and said goodnight and wished for the best for tomorrow's game.
i then showered, talked with julie and connie for a bit since they came back when i was showering, and then we all went to bed. as i was going thru my late night thoughts, i was feeling homesick as well, this is definitely not something that i liked so i started crying. i miss my parents, my pets, friends, and even my siblings. ugh, now i know how adam feels.
