-adams pov-
"hey adam!!"
i turn around and see rachel walking towards me and wendy, great.
"hey adam, how are you" she said getting closer to me
"um i'm kinda in the middle of something" i say pointing to wendy who gives her a small smile and a wave
"oh i'm sorry, i didn't realize, did you still want to get ice cream like you promised me?" she said making a weird puppy dog face
"i never said i wanted to get ice cream with you."
"aw bummer" she said staring at wendy
"and you are?" she said asking wendy
"i'm adams friend and teammate, who are you?"
"i'm rachel i'm on team usa basketball" she said doing a little hair flip
"well if you don't mind adam and i are leaving, and please don't follow us." said wendy taking my arm and literally dragging me off the beach
"listen wendy i am so sorry about her, she was this girl i met right before i picked you up and she's annoying and im-"
"adam it's fine! i believe you" she said cutting me off
"it's almost curfew we should be getting back"
"y-yeah let's go" i said staring at her
-wendys pov-
the rest of the way was kinda awkward, whenever we tried to make conversation with eachother we just said a little sentence and then it got quiet again.
we finally made it to my dorm after a very awkward walk.
"i'll uh, see you tomorrow?" adam said looking at me
"yeah, goodnight adam" i said giving him a hug and going inside
julie and connie were on the floor watching sixteen candles.
"hey how'd it go" said connie standing up and pressing the pause button on the tv.
"it went great at first then this girl showed up and completely ruined the mood just as adam and i were about to kiss."
"what girl?" said connie and julie both staring at me with their jaws open
"this random girl named rachel that adam met just before he picked me up. she was so... UGH!" i said plopping on the nearest bed which was connie's.
"aw i'm sorry wendy" said connie rubbing my back.
"do you wanna watch sixteen candles with us? it just started like 15 minutes ago." said julie
"yeah just let me get changed"
i got some pajamas and went into the bathroom and changed.
why am i even upset at adam? he seemed more upset than me when rachel showed up? i thought.
the rest of the night was just the girls and i watching sixteen candles and stand by me before we fell asleep .
