I open my eyes and look around my room. It was full of stuffed animals and bright colours. For any other girl, it would be really cutesy. For me, I found it melancholic. I'm forced to stay cooped up in this room.

My name is Regina. As far as I'm concerned, I don't have a surname.

I climb out of my bed and put on my clothes. A black dress with red lining, and over that, a short sleeve fleece. I brush my hair and look into my mirror while I put my large red bow on my head. There! All finished!

"Regina! Come to me, daughter." A voice booms from outside. I open my window and look out. There stood my father.
He was unique to most fathers, as he was essentially a four hundred foot tall statue.

"What is it, daddy?" I ask with a smile.
"You have been a good girl, Regina." He boomed. "I have a gift for you."

I smile. A gift, for me? I've never ever had a gift before, so whatever it is I'd be pretty happy.
I head downstairs and through the doors to the balcony. My father, King Mercanere overlooked the castle.

I kneel before my father and stand up.
"Regina, for many years you've not had any powers. Today that will change."
What was dad saying?
"I am going to share some of my powers with you. You will travel to the human world, known as Earth, and you will take out the Precures. I've been told Ira, Bel and Marmo are having a hard time against these Precures. However, you could manipulate them."

My eyes widen. All of this is going by so fast! I can only nod.
Without any warning, I'm struck with a bolt of lighting. It was pure agony.

I feel myself changing. Changing into a more powerful girl. I stand up, and look around. My vision was blurred.

I hold my hands close to my face, and closely examine them. My body was getting used to the new powers I had just absorbed.

With a simple click of my fingers, the scenery around me begins to change.
The red sky turns to a bright blue, with white puffy clouds. The ground beneath me changes to lush, vibrant green grass.

It occurs to me that I'm standing in someone's front yard. I look around, and then move onto the pavement.
The door opens to reveal a fairly tall woman with short blue hair and rectangular glasses. Her expression is serious, yet curious at the same time.
I look at her in slight panic.
She clears her throat and speaks up. "Excuse me, this is private property. We don't allow visitors or fans of MakoPi unless she's on tour."

What? Who's MakoPi? What's a tour? And I'm on private property?
"W-who's MakoPi?" I ask with innocence.
The woman's expression changes to that of surprise.
"Makoto Kenzaki? Pop star? Idol? Any of this ringing a bell?"
I shake my head and fiddle with my fingers.

She looks at me closely. "You seriously don't know, do you?"
The woman sighs as I shake my head once again.
"May I ask for your name?" She asks with a serious expression.
I scratch the back of my head. "My name is Regina."
She furrows her eyebrow as she grabs a notepad and pen from her pocket. "Last name?"
I look at her. "I don't have a last name..."
The woman sighs once more.

A cute girl with purple hair opens the door and walks outside. She was slightly taller than me, and wore what seemed to be pyjamas.
She waves at me with a warm smile. I blush out of embarrassment and repeat the motion she just did with her hand.

The girl opens a mailbox and collects a bunch of letters.
I look at the massive bundle of letters the girl now held in her hands in awe.
"That's... a lot of letters..." I think aloud. The girl looks up at me and smiles.
"Yeah... tends to be that way when you're an idol.. many fan letters. I try to answer as many as I can. I love to make the letters feel personal, and for them to know they are coming from me." The girl responds with a smile.

I smile back. That sounds so sweet.. To be an idol and to be in touch with your fans.
A few letters fall out of the idol's arms. I take notice and pick them up off the ground, making sure they aren't damaged. I gently hand them back to the idol and step back.

The cute girl smiles. "You don't seem too bad.."
I look up at her and smile. "T-thanks.."
The woman looks at me. "Thanks for helping her. You can go now."

I nod my head and turn towards the gate.
"Hey!" I hear the girl shout from behind me. I turn around in confusion. "Huh?"
"Would you like to have dinner? Here?" The idol asks with a warm, welcoming smile. I nod my head and my stomach starts to rumble.

I wonder what we'd have for dinner? Toast and beans? Beans? Just toast?
I had never really tried any other foods. Dad had always kept me very limited when it comes to food. I learnt there are so many special dishes that don't involve beans, or toast.

The girl waves in my face and I snap out of my trance.
"Everything okay?" She asks with a concerned expression.
I nod my head. "I'm alright... I were just thinking about food... never tried anything other than beans and toast."
Her expression changes to a smile. "Well I shall cook you the finest meal!"

Her enthusiasm was to die for.
I follow her inside of her house. The blue-lined walls were decorated with paintings of flowers and mountains. It also looked very tidy, and the raspberry scent that filled the air felt fresh, and strangely calmed me.

"I haven't asked for your name yet. So what is it?" The idol asks with a smile.
"I'm Regina. I don't have a last name.. well, I do, but I wish I didn't have that last name.."
The girl smiles. "I'm sure you already know me. I'm Makoto Kenzaki, but my singer name is MakoPi."

I smile. Makoto sounds like a beautiful name.
We make eye contact with each other. Suddenly she looked familiar.. as if I've met her long ago.
We both share the same expression, but we can't make out what that feeling of recognition was.
