Warm ambiance filled the laboratory room, just like before, the bright main lights no longer buzzing from the electricity coursing through them- it was calming.

George let out a content sigh as he began to shuffle, causing the thin blanket that had previously resided on his shoulders to slip was he asleep this whole time? no that couldn't have been it, he jolted up smacking his knees against the desk.. wait what?
He winced in pain, which effectively had cleared most of the sleep caused fuzziness from his mind, noticing a small presumably pink post-it note stuck to the same desk that had attacked him.

Left to do some research with Karl,
Maybe if you didn't sleep through everything I would've taken you with you idiot.
Should be back in a few hours.
- Sapnap

"Great. Thanks. How thoughtful" George voiced his opinion aloud, it's not like someone was going to hear him, Sapnap clearly had already left.
George had a messed up sleep schedule, that much was true and he would be the first one to admit it, but to be left alone in a still unfamiliar lab was just unwarranted.
Speaking of which what exactly was he meant to do until his very considerate friend would come back?

He reached for his phone, the time reading 12AM which wasn't the worst time to be awake on a normal day but when you're stuck alone in a laboratory it's rather unfortunate, the likelihood of George meeting other people was minute. He grimaced at the though, silently cursing Sapnap for his problems, as he finally stood up, making an effort to fold the peace of cloth and place it down on the spinning chair that he had previously taken residency in.

Being stuck in an expensive laboratory did have its perks, one of them being a coffee machine which George was more than grateful for.
The machine buzzed quietly as George thought back on what had happened: he remembered the creature a small shiver running down his spine as he did so, he must've fell asleep a few hours after Sapnap had gone in to research (more specifically pester) Dream. The oozing brown liquid distracted him from his thoughts as he caught a waft of the bitter sweet smell of coffee that was slowly filling the nighttime air.

A small sip of the golden brown liquid was all that it took for George to feel progressively better, the note said Sapnap would be gone for a few hours at best so surely he could find something to do to pass the time that would not result in long term consequences.... right? Being alone in a laboratory that you're not authorised to be in was.. concerning, to say the least, George didn't particularly know what he could and couldn't do or touch especially with his friends tragic habit of not labelling stuff properly.

Nonetheless he decided that the best course of action was  to return to the room that Sapnap had left him in, rather than venturing off. And that's exactly what he did, he began walking back to the much smaller and admittedly more welcoming room than the rest of the laboratory; which if George was being honest seemed cold, lifeless even.
He made it back to the aforementioned room in no time, coffee cup at hand and a small smile resting comfortably on his face, that is until he saw something... someone.. in the otherwise vacant laboratory.

George nearly choked on his coffee, jumpscared by the unexpected stranger.
The stranger however seemed to not even notice the brits presence in the room.

He made a quick assessment of the situation;
The man was wearing a hoodie of a hideous shade of yellow that he learnt to recognise as lime-green, which was not the appropriate clothing for laboratory personnel even George was wearing a lab coat and he didn't even work there.
The next thing that stood out was that the man was not wearing a staff lanyard that usually had the access keycard attached, which could easily be brushed off to the man simply putting it in his pockets which wouldn't be completely out of the ordinary.
Oh and the fact that the stranger was standing behind the glass plastered with warnings... wait WHAT?
