The facility was large, guarded by polished steel gates and what looked to be a never ending fence as it continued for acres upon acres of land, it made it clear that no one was getting in or out of that building without appropriate clearance.

However George's prideful smile from his previous achievement was quickly turned into a much softer one as he heard the modern gates creak open revealing his dark haired friend, his smile reduced into an annoyed expression as he let out a small scoff "you're late!"

"What?!" The boy exclaimed, frantically searching his pockets for a phone to check the time with "What the hell, George! I'm not late you're just early!" Sapnap had sounded annoyed but any tension quickly faded as he burst into laughter, it was obvious he was too excited for whatever he had discovered to be truly bothered by George's remark.

George wasn't being serious about his complaint either, a playful grin etched on his face as he followed his friend who was already on his way towards the main building "So what exactly did you find?" The brit asked, his eyebrow quirked upwards in a mix of amusement and curiosity.

"Dude! Just wait, you have to see it to believe it" Sapnap snickered slyly, knowing full well that George's curiosity was getting the best of him which in consequence earned him an irritated eye roll and a minor sigh as the dark haired brit continued to follow the slightly taller boy.

The brisk walk had come to an end, they were at the entrance of the building.

"Oh, wait here, I have a surprise!" Sapnap exclaimed as he darted into a small security room, leaving George all alone infront of a massive building that he had visited atleast a handful of times as a courtesy of his friend, however this time something felt different- odd even.

The laboratory now towering over the all too alone George like a giant, looking far more ominous than ever before. Perhaps it's just the weather? George thought to himself as he glanced up at the greying clouds, only for his attention to be brought back to his friend. Who had burst out from the small room with a huge grin on his face, holding two lanyards in his hands "Here, Gogy, now I no longer have to sneak you in!" he spoke excitedly as he handed George one of the lanyards whilst at the same time slipping one of them over his own head.

"Sapnap! Stop with the name, but I guess I should say thank you" George practically growled with an irritated expression, looking down at the lanyard with a card attached to it which read:

George Henry Davidson
Clearance Level: 3
Assistant

Sapnap's card was overall the same, with a few additional inscriptions, that were too small for George to be able to easily read - the main difference being that Sapnap had Level 6 clearance which only meant he had access to cause more chaos.

Sapnap was already at the door which he had held wide open "After you m'lady" he chuckled amused by his own actions, he had always been childish in his ways or atleast ever since George could remember and that was made him, well him.

"Shut up, Sappitus Nappitus" George retorted with as serious of an expression as he could muster and full knowledge that Nick hated most nicknames that were ever given to him.

His serious expression didn't last long as he burst into laughter at how quickly Sapnap's expression had faltered from a smug and confident one to a sour and annoyed pout, nonetheless he waited for George to enter the building before shutting the door behind them, hearing it automatically lock with a satisfying *beep*

To say the building looked as massive on the inside as it had on the outside would be an understatement, somehow it looked even more spacious and although George had been there plenty of times before it always seemed to astonish him.
The walls were all painted white, and the building just overall had a modern feel to it with a variety of machines beeping from different rooms and corners of the laboratory.

Usually there was atleast a handful people running around, experimenting on something new every day. This time it seemed different. It seemed barren, desolate even which may have been due to it being a weekend or due to how early in the morning it was but it really did create an eerie feeling in the air causing a small shiver to run down George's spine.

As the two boys walked down the empty hallways, Sapnap was rambling on about how he had caught his lab coat on fire just a few days ago which earned a giggle or two from George but his attention was fixed elsewhere.

In fact his eyes had been locked onto the massive picture frame hung at the end of the hall, he hadn't remembered it being there when he visited before which meant it was recent and as they approached closer the picture, no, the photograph became ever more apparent; it was that of a man.

The man in the photograph looked like he was in his early 20's with wavy dirty blonde hair framing his face, paired with what George assumed to be deep green eyes since it was highly unlikely that they were yellow. The man, Clay Anderson, whose name the brit had learned from reading the golden plaque below the image had a few other noticeable features such as freckles and a warm smile which made him rather attractive to look at for most but only raised more questions in George's mind.

Sapnap was already holding the door open to the sector of the laboratory he and a few others worked in, tapping his foot lightly on the ground beneath him in mild annoyance as he noticed that George was spacing out.
Which effectively snapped the brit back into reality.

"Nick? Who is that man?" George asked seriously but his curiosity was seeping into every word that left his lips, which he realised he had done by the wince of pain in Sapnap's expression which only made George's curiosity skyrocket.

Nick looked like he was thinking for a good minute before sighing "he was a dedicated and extraordinary scientist, the best in fact, but he was also a good man, a friend even and of course an idiot..." his expression was saddened as those words left his mouth but he quickly shook it of as a bright smile appeared "Now come on Gogy!" Nick exclaimed as he practically dragged George through the door not even bothering to turn back to shut it.

The area they were in now, was much smaller than the main lobby, but somehow it looked cozier; the few lights that were lighting the space up were warmer. But that didn't last long as Sapnap switched the main lights on causing bright light to flood the room and inheretently making George wince in the process.

It took a moment for George's eyes to adjust to the new found light source, but when they did he noticed a few key changes since the time he had been there before- in fact the space no longer looked the same at all, the room now had a large glass wall enclosure connected to it.

The only downside was the fact that the enclosure was flooded with darkness so George couldn't see what exactly was inside it.

"So they let you keep pets now?" George snickered but secretely hoped that his friend would pick up on the hint and satisfy his curiosity; his words causing Sapnap to look up, with his eyebrows quirked, from the piece of paper he was looking at to the enclosure infront of George.

"Well first of all it's not a pet, it's a whole new lifeform, and if you wanted to see it you could've just asked Georgie" Sapnap teased, clearly knowing that the brit was curious. "Although it's not nearly as cool as this chemical I found that burns forever" the boy added with dissapointment in his voice, he was known for being a fan of fire, but George could only assume the dissapointment was because he was far more curious about the new life-form than the chemical, but he didn't really care to ask about it.

"Well what does this thing look like?" George asked a bit impatiently but he really was just interested, he found these things fascinating which is why he always seemed to come back whenever Sapnap had invited.

"Why don't you look for yourself, just please don't scare it, we've been trying to gain the little dudes trust from like a week now" Nick tried to sound serious but the playful grin on his face told a whole different tale, he too was interested in the creature.

And with a click of a button the enclosure was as bright as the rest of the room, revealing a small figure in the corner of the cage.
