I was in the guest room crying on the bed they had given me and holding onto my pillow tightly when I heard a knock. "Go away! I don't want to talk to you!" Thomas came in anyway and sat beside me. "I know it's not your fault and I'm really sorry. When your ready we can go report it alright?" He said placing his hand softly on my back. "I'm just so scared Thomas. What if people find out and say that I'm a liar or that I asked for it?" My voice came out a bit choked out. "Nobody is going to find out. I promise." "And if they do?" "Well then I'm Thomas Sangster. I'll beat them up if anyone says anything about you or towards you." I nodded my head and sat up. "Okay. I'll do it." "Alright. I'll call our lawyer once I talk about it with my parents."
I gave him a week smile. He got up and left leaving me alone. My mind wandered back to my mother. She still hasn't called me. Why hasn't she tried to reach me? I took my phone out again and tried calling her number. Voice mail. I just really wanted to talk to my mama I really need her right now. Where the hell is she?
Thomas came back up and sat back down next to me. "My parents said that we'll help you as much as we can. I've contacted our lawyer and scheduled you an appointment at the hospital to take some DNA samples this afternoon. Do you want me to go in there with you?"
"Umm no that's probably not a good idea. Besides I need to do this myself." He nodded his head. "Do you at least get ant me to wait in the lobby or just stay in the car." "The lobby is f-fine yeah." I said nervously nodding my head. "It's going to be alright. I promise." "Okay. I'm going to Umm get some rest before we go." "Alright." He smiled at me then headed back out and I cried again. How could my mom just abandon me? I don't understand. With those thoughts I faded off to sleep.
