I mustered up some courage to exit out of the spare room the Sangsters' have graciously given me. It was strange living in such a huge house, having my own bathroom even if it wasn't like Thomas'. Mine was simple, ordinary, but still big.
I slowly walked down the stairs to see them all having breakfast.
"Good morning hunny. Are you hungry?" Mrs Sangster asked me. I gave a small smile but shook my head.
"No thank you I'm alright."
I didn't feel like eating. Not really. Instead I just sat down and sipped on a glass of water that I poored myself. "I'm really sorry for intruding. I'll be going home today." I said looking down at the table. "That's not necessary dear. We know that your mom is missing and we are searching for her. In the meantime our conscience would feel more clear if you stayed with us." Mrs Sangster said giving me a reassuring smile. I didn't want to be rude so I stayed quiet until Mr sangster spoke. "Well Thomas your mother and I are going . We'll call you when our plain lands." Thomas nodded and they walked away leaving us by ourselves.
I looked at Thomas starring at me and I furrowed my eyebrows. "I don't understand why you didn't tell them. We can help you. You understand that right?"
"I don't need the pity Thomas. Besides it's not like you had cared before."
He scoffed at me. "You're unbelievably blind. I told you. It to go to that party and you didn't listen."
"So this is my fault Thomas? How was I going to listen to someone who has practically put me down my whole life? Let's not forget who started making my life a living hell!"
"And I apologized for it!" He yelled grabbing my shoulder and I slapped him. "Don't you touch me! Don't you ever touch me!"
He immideatly backed away. His eyes filled with remorse. "I'm sorry." He spoke softly then left to his room.
