"Haeji-yah..." a grip caught my hand. He held it so tight that I my hands started to hurt so badly. "What's wrong with you?! I already told you, I don't want a come back!" My hands caught his cheeks, it left a red mark on his cheeks. I was so mad at myself for slapping him, it was mean and humiliating. But at the same time, I'm mad at him for being so desperate. "I'm not going to ask for a reconcilation anymore! I just want to talk to you," Taehyun took out his phone and showed a text message of an unknown number.
Haeji-yah, you look so gorgeous today
Hey, I saw you today at the amusement park. I never realized you were so sexy.
Haeji, want to go for some ramyeon?
Fuck, I really want you. Let's meet up.
"I don't want you back either, look...we already parted ways and I regret that. I still like you but I don't want to force you. I just...I recieved this text messages. So, I decided to check up on you." I pulled his phone, reading every message that was sent to his phone. "Isn't this Jisung's old phone number?"
"It is, that's why I came yesterday when I heard he wanted to bring you to the arcade."
"This...isn't him, right?"
"I'm not saying it's him, but there is a possibility." I sighed, my knees trembled in fear. Still hoping it wasn't Jisung, but I couldn't stop my head from thinking of the possibilities. Come to think of it...Nanhee even told me about the possibilities of Jisung liking me. "Be careful, Haeji. Don't trust anyone." Taehyun said, leaving me alone in the empty hallways. My heart was beating so fast, it wasn't fluttering...it was horror. "Haeji!" Yeona's voice echoed through the hallways. "Mr. Byun is looking for you-- are you alright? You look pale."
"I'm alright, let's go?"
I walked pass Jisung's classroom, I saw him fidgeting through his phone. It reminded me of the text messages earlier. Is it really him? Can this innocent looking boy be the one who sent those messages? "Yah, Moon Haeji, I understand you like Jisung so bad, but Mr. Byun is waiting for you." I flinched when Yeona called me. I didn't talk anymore since I don't want my friend to worry about me. I just walked to the faculty room, silence filling the hallway. "You okay?" She asked, reassuring. "I am, just...a bit tired I guess."
"Moon Haeji!" The familiar voice echoed through my eardrums. "Yes, Mr. Byun," I entered the room without saying goodbye to Yeona. I felt a slight pain of guilt on the chest. Overthinking again, I guess. "I heard you can dance," Mr. Byun started, looking at a paper with great focus. "I guess?"
"Well then, you can dance with Jisung for the interschool competitions."
"What for?"
"An intermission number, the both of you will lead the dance. I want atleast 10 faces on stage." I knelt on the floor, "but why me? Yeona can dance too, especially Micah. Why me?"
"Because, Micah is participating in the actual competitions. And Yeona is dancing with you but she didn't want to be the leader."
"But I'm participating for the badminton team!"
"So is Yeona, now go. I'll excuse you from your classes tomorrow, hold an audition this afternoon for the remaining members." He sighed, "showcase your talent, Haeji. There's nothing to be ashamed of." He bowed down to his bag and took some keys out, "I'll allow you to use the dance room." He handed me the keys to the dance room, which I have always wanted to stay in. "Oh, and one more thing." Mr. Byun stopped me from leaving, "yah...if you like Jisung just confess. You don't have to stare at him all day and act like you're just friends when you actually like him." I clenched my teeth, "okay Mr. Byun." I turned around at once, leaving the faculty room.
After classes, we held the audition as planned. Me and Jisung were the judges, Yeona sat on the side with Hyuna since she didn't want to do it. She knows how sensitive my eyes are and how I'm a perfectionist when it comes to performances. And she didn't want to be involved until midnight. I feel bad for Jisung though. The auditions lasted for a good 2 hours, and only 3 got me amazed. "So it's Byeol, Kiya, and Desree." Jisung crossed his arms, sighing. "Why don't we bring in the former members?" I suggested on behalf of Yeona. I'm sure she's dying to dance with Jaemin. "Good idea," he blurted out.
"Why don't we recreate the song 'dunkshot'? Then create a choreography?" I suggested again. "But who'll make the beat?"
"Say no more," I smirked, dialling Taeil's friend, Kun. He's a good producer, and I'm sure he'll make the best recreation of dunkshot. "Kun-ge," I said with charms. "Yes?"
"Remember when you told me I can ask you a favor because you didn't give me anything for my birthday?" He laughed, "yah, you said you don't need it." I let out some weird aegyo noises before responding to him, "哥哥(older brother), please~"
"Okay, okay...what is it exactly?"
"A recreation of dunkshot, something that we can dance to."
