"What? What do you mean they didn't want you?" Marilyn asked whole baffled.
"My parents gave me up when I was really little. They couldn't afford to look after me. I was put with a foster family."
Amanda couldn't believe that she was opening up so easily. But she just knew that she could trust Marilyn.
"That must have been rough. Where your foster parents nice?"
"For the most part. I was lucky to be put with a decent family so I wasn't moved around as most foster children are."
"Fair enough."
Marilyn felt Amanda's pain. He himself had been through a lot of trauma through out his life and understood the pain.
"Now that I'm old enough I'm travelling to Australia to meet my birth parents. My foster parents were finally able to move to England. They only stayed in America as it was easy to raise me there."
"It's nice that they put you first Amanda. Most foster children aren't as lucky."
"Yeah I know. I wonder what my parents with be like. I'm actually scared."
"Well...I myself am coming over here to live as I mentioned earlier and well if you wanted I could come with you to meet your family. I'm not meaning to intrude..." Marilyn said whole looking down.
"No of course! I would love for you to come. I feel comfortable around you and I could just say you're a close friend."
Amanda blushed.
"Are you sure Amanda? We just met and all."
"I would love for you to join me Marilyn."
They both blushed and looked away from each other.
"One thing....well I was uh wondering. Do you want to come find a nice rental in Australia and live together and make music with me?" Marilyn asked shyly.
"What happened to you wanting to keep it on the down low." Amanda said with a laugh.
"Well. I agree with what you said. I can't have it both ways and well if I want to keep making music. I want to keep making it with you."
Hearing this made Amanda blush. Nobody had ever cared about her this much before and she didn't know how to feel.
"We could introduce each other to our family and then get ourselves set up." Amanda said cheerfully.
"Oh I'm sorry Amanda. I intervened and I'm sorry, I just. I really care about you."
"It's fine. I think we can make this work out."
"I'm glad you think so."
And with that the two started to reach Brisbane airport.
