The occipital lobe, also known as the visual area is responsible for the sense of sight, image perception and image interpretation. Every color exists for a reason. Some of us might wonder why the blood is red, and science particularly molecular biology will reason out that it's because of hemoglobin. Different perspectives at the same world, kids will always wonder about things adults cannot understand.
"Aren't you afraid of the dark? I mean there are lots of monsters lurking beneath your bed when it's dark. Acting brave like an adult, that doesn't suit you Cia."
My sophomore years was a disaster because they didn't understand me. Our English teacher asked who among us are afraid of the dark. Girls raised their hands and giggled as if the boys will pity them and act like superheroes.
I was the only one who never raised my hand.
"Ms. Montanari?"
Her eyebrows raised as if it would reach the altitude of Mt. Everest.
I stood proudly and held my head high. If they find Science silly, then I'll prove them wrong.
"Ms. Altegracia, why should we felt so afraid of the dark? In terms of physics, an object is said to be dark when it absorbs photons, causing it to appear dim compared to other objects. An object may appear dark, but it may be bright at a frequency that humans cannot perceive. A dark area has limited light sources, making things hard to see."
I just don't understand people, and maybe they also felt the same when it comes to my principles.
"Doktora! Doktora Cia!"
There are lot of people in this barrio.
"Where's the medicube Private First-Class Demetrio?"
He smiled at me tsaka iginiya ako sa lilim ng mayabong na puno. I guessed this one's the same with my uncle Park's orchard sa Laguna.
I guess there were just five of them.
"Naku Doktora, mabuti at nadayo ninyo itong baryo namin."
"A, e dok ano po yung ground breaking?"
Politicians will not be able to stop me. I have strings, and I will accomplish this for the people.
"Doktora darating daw ang Eurocopter UH-72 Lakota ni Doctor Emmanuel."
"What?" Halos mapaatras ang nurse dahil sa takot. How dare that Emmanuel na sumunod dito.
