IT WAS JANUARY ELEVEN also known as Noel's birthday, which she was greeted in the morning with her best friend surprising her with her favorite flavored cupcake.
Red Velvet
After that morning; as the day went on, she was spoiled with many gifts and was greeted with happy faces and regards as she walks through the halls. Other people would consider Noel as lucky, only because she was popular and everyone liked her but Noel usually never minded the labels since she didn't want to have one. She felt like labels themselves should be making everything easier but to her, it just makes things more complicated than it should. Noel was loved by everyone in Hogwarts not only because she was pretty but also because she was kind and everyone felt safe around her even if they weren't even close. Everyone in Hogwarts adored her because she never made anyone uncomfortable or felt judge, she always treated them fairly, and she was praised to the point that even the Slytherins had no problems with her despite her being a Gryffindor.
"Noel! Happy Birthday!" Noel looked up from her book seeing her secretly favored Slytherin; Regulus Arcturus Black.
"Reggie! Thank you!" Noel threw her arms around Regulus's neck as Regulus wrapped his around Noel's petite waist as they comforted each other in the none-crowded Library.
"That reminds me, I have bought you a present" Regulus mumbled trying to switch back to his laid back self, making Noel playfully rolled her eyes at how obvious Regulus is. The boy in front of her pulled out a tiny black box from his jacket with one red bow placed in the middle.
When Noel opened the box she gasped "Reggie you shouldn't have" Noel smiled brightly seeing the snake ring laying on the tiny silk cushion inside the velvet box that was handed to her. Regulus took out the ring and added it to her finger for her. Noel slightly shivered as the cold material wrapped around her finger but she smiled hugging Regulus once again. Usually, people never see this side of Regulus because he was always the type to be silent but not in a shy way, rather intimidating to what people described him as, and he was also known to be quiet but still had a lot of power to hold, so people always took him seriously. Noel found it quite funny and ironic because it's the same guy that cried when his cat died, but she couldn't blame him since she did the same "thank you" she smiled brightly hugging him before they began reading together again.
