"Mine
I would hate to see you go
Hate to be the one that told you so
You just crossed the line
You've run out of time"
silence
It was silence that resonated their surroundings. Renjun's eyes widened as he reached out to grab Chenle by his shoulders shaking him violently "did you do something wrong?!" The boy in question was of course- taken aback.
he had placed both the bombs he was given at their designated places. he had put the timer accordingly too. Then... what went wrong?
He held Renjun by his shoulders in an attempt to calm him down, which slightly worked. once he was silent, Chenle started massaging his own temples- the headache crashing in. "I'm very sure that I did as told, the bombs were working-"
Before the boy could continue any further, Renjun had opened the door already loading his gun and heading towards the hall they once left, "Where are you going?!" his partner yelled at him before following suit as him.
none of Chenle's words were audible to Renjun- who was walking straight towards what might be their end. The blood that flowed through Renjun's veins was impurified with hatred, hatred towards Anarchy. He planned this weeks after weeks and what could be a dozen sleepless nights, only to have his plan hindered by some ominous power.
While this commotion took place, Jeno sat on the roof of the building, his ears giving the horrific silence other than the incoherent chatters inside the building.
this night played a huge role in his long term plan to catch renjun. He was monitoring the movement of each and every person attending the banquet, and keeping a keen eye on both of his 'acquaintances' if one were to call them that.
The only thing he could think of was to grab his gun, shoot the bombs into an explosion, and watch the chaos below him. But that would be at the risk of the glass ceiling shattering leading him to cave into the building which would be in flames, thus, his demise.
It was that moment that he heard wind blowing behind him, but not the natural kind. He turned back to see his comrade and junior, Jisung on the helicopter's ladder smiling sheepishly at him. Jisung ordered the vehicle to steer closer to his senior and pulled Jeno up the ladder.
One may be wondering, why arent the guards alerted yet? well, I'd say thats to the courtesy of Jisung's recruits who drugged them five minutes prior to his arrival in the wind vehicle.
"Listen heres what we do yeah? we-" "we shoot the explosives. yeah I know hyung I have my sources." Jisung interrupted before Jeno could continue who paused his instructing hands.
"here. catch." the younger tossed Jeno a much larger gun and aimed to where the first explosive was. Without a moment of hesitance he shot straight towards the first dynamite with a perfect aim. It was something that people knew him for, the best sniper in the service and that too at the age of 18.
After Jisung's first shot, Jeno aimed towards the second explosive as his junior shot his second one followed by the agent shooting the last set.
In a span of a few milliseconds the whole building glared in red and orange, screams erupting from inside.
Thankfully Chenle stopped Renjun before he could get any nearer to the area of impact. Though both the criminals were sent flying back a metre or two. They shielded their eyes to avoid the strain and once they were out of their zoned out state, the two boys scrambled to their feet.
"Lets go before anyone sees us. come on hurry!" Chenle whisper yelled before dragging Renjun to the car who sat in the driver's seat.
The duo sped away from the explosion site and soon they were on the highway. However they could still see the now destroyed building in their peripheral vision.
To say the hall was burning was an understatement. It was literally on fire, flames of red, orange and yellow hues visible from a long distance.
Jisung and Jeno scurried up the ladder and into the helicopter as the younger of the two whipped out his walkie talkie "yeah we got a O2O2 here at the Anarchy building send in reinforcements and a fire brigade."
Jeno leaned back in his seat panting as he watched the younger play as a perfect cover to remove any evidences.
Jeno closed his eyes to relax when suddenly he thought of one thing. His eyes flew open and looked at Jisung "IF YOU'RE HERE- WHO'S FLYING THE HELICOPTER?!" before the younger could reply, his answer spoke himself "I am. Qian Kun, one of Jisung's close friends." he offered his free hand for Jeno to shake and that he did.
The car was filled with lofi music as the duo sat in silence, one of them driving and the other in passenger seat.
unable to stand the silence, the younger chinese finally spoke up "So how did it blow up?" Renjun kept his eyes on the road and answered, "i dont know... i think someone found it and got near which might've triggered it to explode. At least we weren't harmed." Chenle hummed before getting comfortable in his seat and closing his eyes, slowly drifting off to sleep.
Renjun glanced at the sleeping boy who looked oh-so-innocent and lowered the volume of the music and shifted his eyes back on the road.
Renjun currently seemed calm and serene but his mind was somewhere else, and that was the building. The explosives weren't supposed to be triggered to be blown. and on top of that he was darn sure he heard a few gunshots in the distance. Not to mention wild wind blowing above them.
Someone else was there and he was certain about that. One more thing he was sure of was that whoever it was, was definitely on their side.
At least for now..
"I'm so sorry, now you know
Sorry I'm the one that told you so
Sorry, sorry, I'm sorry, sorry
Psych."
