This is the first time you've encountered a broken TV when you pushed the power button in your remote. You sighed, muttering why it's broken.
You had one solution to fix this. Maybe buying a new one would help. So, that is the start of your walk in the city and eye for TV shops. Well, even though it costs you more money than hiring an electrician to repair it.
What makes it tough for you is that, somehow, good TV stores never exist in this lane filled with people.
But don't let your hopes down for a moment; you found an alley which consists of a TV shop and a laundromat. Confusion span around your brain, asking yourself why would a shop exist inside the alley. Something made you feel uncomfortable when your legs step foot in that place.
Hearing it from some articles you've heard, these places are places where most criminals seek and steal their food or money. Or even both.
But anyway, you stepped in, whispering hopes to not get your money stolen. You opened the door to the TV shop you saw from the pedestrian path. Looking around you could see a bunch of televisions stacked on each shelf, and most of them are usually cheap ones.
On that counter, it was a grey donkey on a red dress. She was resting on the counter with one of her hands cupped her left cheek, eyes panning the room.
Until she spotted her next customer, she greeted with a polite manner and a graceful voice, "Welcome to Daisy's TV, autre client." (fellow customer.)
"Oh, hello. I see you're using French to greet people." Before you hunched over to the shelves of TVs, you caught yourself in a leisure time you're planning. Which is, of course, having a conversation with her. To you, she seems to be fun to talk to.
"Sure, what is it?" The red-dressed donkey's eyes now stare deeply into yours.
"Do you usually use that to talk?" Just to let you know her better. Daisy shook her head, confirming that French is just for styling every word she spoke. She only does that here and sometimes when she appreciated their help or their offer.
"Oh, I see." You replied to her. Stepping away, you now return to what you need to do. In your opinion, some TVs she sold seem to be made from the past years because all the TVs are box-like.
Inspecting the details, they still have the aesthetic before reaching this year. Not gonna lie, it looks great to be your new TV.
"I would like to buy this TV." You tried to lift it, but the mass of the object is heavy, which made your hands shaky from it.
"Here, let me help you." The donkey saw you struggling with the TV. Which made her walk up to you and help you carry the TV to her counter. Daisy plopped back to her seat and listed the price for the object.
She seems to be good with prices. Not too cheap and not too expensive either. It's even. Handing off the money, Daisy thanked you for the fair deal.
When you were about to step off with your TV, someone arrived with a letter in his hand, he told Daisy that she had some new errands to run on. The donkey snatched the letter and read it with her eyes bore to each sentence.
"Ah, I see... I see... Something new has been given to me." Daisy chirped, as she stored the sheet in the drawer with a little hum emitted from her mouth, "Thanks for the letter, mister~"
The man then left with a smile, feeling good from how she talked.
"So, something good happened?" You said, your form traveled back to her desk once again with a TV placed on it to prevent sore muscles.
"Yes... I got something new. Something where I can step on the outside." Daisy mused, giving another smile. She entangled her fingers on a pen where she wrote the receipt. She took a refreshing breath and breathed out.
The TV seller showed you the letter she has gotten. Going further to the details, you congratulated her on it.
"It's an important business. Where I would earn money easier," She said as she slid the paper away and hid it again, "I'm sure earning money by that would be extravagant for this gorgeous life I breathe in."
"I see."
"Also, helping people sure does tempt to fill my reputation to people, like the poor people living near my shop that is." Her arms fiddled around the table, making some random rhythm every tap her fingertips knocked.
Your eyes peered at the little image hung on the wall. A picture of two wolves and Daisy herself. They seem to wear happy faces, meaning that they've shown trust and appreciation for saving both of their lives.
Grinning, you fixated your eyes back on her.
"That image you're staring at is my first example of my caregiver skills. Sure they're memorable as I waltz out of trance..."
Getting out for something she wished of, you hoped the people in this alleyway remembered her appearance when she greets people at her shop.
With that conversation slowly ending, Daisy perked up to see that you've been standing up at her store for minutes. Before you step out, she reminded you to take the things you've bought from her shop.
"Ah, thanks for the TV."
"You're welcome. It's my pleasure to remind customers." Daisy said, giving you vibes of a maid. But before that, you wanted to ask her for a little introduction since that large conversation you two had.
"Oh, mi dispiace, (I'm sorry,) you seem to have such curiosity to meet new people. I'm Daisy as it's shown on my shop name."
"Now you used a word from Italy."
"I believe every language other than French itself is beautiful to fill my sentences. So, putting them would be a great addition." Daisy said, returning the TV to your hands. Then, she smiled, "Now that I have to go focus on the others, this will be my goodbye for you..."
"Okay, have a nice day!"
Finally, you obtained a TV even though its cheaper than luxurious ones. With that announcement Daisy reminded you, you internally cheered her spirit in her new place.
After a decent amount of lifting, you can finally rest your arms from the tiredness. Then, you noticed, that the TV had a paper attached on the side of it.
Daisy stuck a little note about her phone number. Including the receipt of course.
That made you more proud to talk to someone like that. With Daisy finally getting her new way, you also get your new way. New way for your newly bought TV.
