Sabito's POV

Nisha began her attack from the back but was flang away by the demon into the nearest tree. I wanted to run to her but the demon was charging towards me. I then began an attack and aimed for the head. "Water breathing, First form, Water surface slash! " I shouted, aiming my sword at the neck. As soon as my blade interacted with the demons neck, It broke.

"SABITO!" I heard a yell, I remember seeing red mist suddenly appear, not long after. My head was held by the demon and was crushed.

I remember leaving my blood stained corpse, seeing Nisha battle the morphed demon. Her aura changed, Her sword was emitting red mist, blinding the demon which made her able to cut all of its hands aiming for her. I watched in awe as how strong she became, and a sudden flow of guilt and sadness found its way to me as I saw her eyes lock onto my bloody corpse. Mixed emotion were seen in her eyes as they water up. She slowly walked near and she stopped in front of me. She knelt down, cradling my lifeless body in her arms as tears began to flow.

"Oh how I wish I could tell you one last time how much I love you, Nisha. What I would to give to be able to feel your warmth again. " I said to myself as I try to caress her cheeks as she placed my pale hands on her cheeks.

3rd person POV

Dawn was approaching and sunlight was glistering through the trees. It was a beautiful view yet it was a painful sight to see the girl crying her heart out. She carried him over to where Giyu was resting and decided to wake the boy up.

Nisha's POV

"G-giyu-u" I stuttered as I waked him up, slightly shaking him. "Uh..Nisha.." He replied, Yawning. "Where's Sabito?" He immediately asked making me break down. "Don't tell me...he..." He was cut off by the sight of my blood stained haori and the corpse of our friend next to me.

"NO! THIS CAN'T BE!" He stood up running towards Sabito's body. "no...no...no..." He continued, carrying the body and hugging it. "why..." He broke down. I joined in on the hug as we both mourned for the lost of not just a friend, but also a brother figure to him, and a now impossible future lover for me.

"I...I was too late... if only I was more faster.... maybe...just maybe... he would've survived." I say, crying my heart out. "How are we supposed to tell Urokodaki-san? and Makomo especially?" He asked. "Let's just bring his body with us. I don't want to bury him in this demon infested mountain." I said as I stood up regaining my balance. "I agree, Let's get out of here. the 7th night is over, we can leave now." Giyu replied, Carrying Sabito's lifeless body down the mountain.

As we got down, we were greeted by the contestants that we saved during the selection. Their cheery faces immediately turned into a frown as they saw that there was only 2 of us and a lifeless body. They helped us place him down for a while as the ceremonial assembly began. After what seemed like a hour, We ventured back to where Urokodaki-san and Makomo were waiting for us.

It was noon as we got back. Urokodaki-san was waiting outside the house with Makomo by his side. He turned to see us as he sensed our scents. "Nisha, Giyu I'm glad you're back... where's Sabito. He asked. I moved to the side, revealing Giyu carrying Sabito's corpse. The atmosphere changed as soon as they saw what happened to Sabito. Urokodaki immediately took Sabito from Giyu and laid him down.

Makomo was speechless, her eyes filled with emotions as she look. Tears flooded her eyes while she was shaking. "S-sabito neesan..." She mumbled while her petit figure was shaking. She approached the lifeless body of the guy who was like a big brother for her. She knelt down infront of him and cried her heart out. I immediately went towards her to comfort her, balling my eyes out aswell in the process.
