Nisha's POV

The day after Sabito's confession, Training became harder. We have already passed the requirements to take part in the final selection, yet we were eager to get stronger so we can make it out alive. I made it clear to Sabito that we will not be involved in a relationship until I was 18, which he wholeheartedly accepted.

Of course, As much as I would love to become his lover, I made a promise to my late parents that I will not be involved in any romantic relationships until I've come of age. After all, I'm still 14 yrs old. Still a young age right?.
As I was emersed in my thoughts, A pair of arms found their way around my torso. I looked behind to see the peach haired boy eyes closed and humming gently as he swayed our bodies.

I chuckled and made my way out of his back hug and wrapped my arms around his waist, now facing each other, or should I say my eyes were welcomed by his chest thanks to our height. He chuckled at my actions and placed a kiss on my forehead before pulling away. I smiled at him and we resumed our training.

"so you two are a thing now?" I familiar male voice spoke up behind me, I turned around to see Giyu holding a wooden sword, ready to battle. His face showed a competitive look, done by the smirk plastered on his face. I instantly knew he was meaning to spar with me. I gave back a smirk, placed my nichirin sword down and picked up a wooden sword I saw laying around. I got into stance position and the next thing I knew we were aiming attacks to each other.

"Woah, Since when have you been this strong, Nisha?" Giyu asked as I struck at him, hitting his leg making him land on the ground. "Since when have you been this weak, Giyu?" I asked laughing. He got back into a stance and placed an attack that immediately brushed me off my feet, landing on my butt. "Aha, I get it. You just got the headstart!" He exclaimed and laughed, I laughed along with him. He offered his hand out and I gladly took it, ending the match with a tie. 's

"You haven't answered my question yet," He said while retreating his sword into its sheath. "Huh? the when have I became that strong?" I asked confused. "Nope, Got the answer to that one, remember?" He replied, Chuckling. "Eh? Then what question?" I asked cluelessly. "The question about you and the peach haired guy over there sparring with Makomo," He said, pointing his thumb towards the two who were in the middle of a match.

"Oh... well, it is not like that," I said getting shy. "Huh? But I was sure you two were a thing with the sweet hugging session and the forehead kisses." He said slightly confused but also with a laughing tone. "Yah!" I exclaimed, hitting the black-haired boy's shoulder. "It's just, we agreed to not be in a relationship yet until im 18. I still need to keep my promise to my parents." I answered truthfully. He nodded with a smile, satisfied with my answer. He then left towards the peach haired boy, who was now resting above a tree, challenging him into a spar. While Makomo and I sparred together.

Each day that passed, We kept training and training to achieve good results in the final selection. By this point, we were very desperate to survive. News has been passed that at the selection held this week, over 50 people tried yet only 10 managed to survive. 2 of them severely injured. And none of the other kids Urokodaki-san trained has survived.

As we heard the news, our minds have been clouded with thoughts. Thoughts about how we've become blind of the fact that once we enter, there's no turning back. Your life will be at stake. If you fail, You die.
It became clear to us that one mistake in there, Your whole life is gone. Me and Makomo broke down at the realization that we might die in there, The boys were there to comfort us.

At the night of that news, I came to the roof, like I do every day. When I got there, I saw Sabito. His eyes were looking ahead into the forest. I could see that he was deep in thoughts, yet still alert. I sat next to him and laid my head on his shoulders, breathing in his scent. "You thinking of the selection?" I asked in a soft tone. I looked at the sky, The moon was hidden among the clouds, almost no stars were to be seen. what a gloomy night. "I can't help but think of it," He said. He stared at me, his grey eyes staring into my emerald ones.
