We'd Never Would've Seen This Coming... {Pietro Maximoff X Fem! Reader}

Notes: This story takes place during the fight in Sokovia in Age Of Ultron (You know where this is going).  Takes place in the readers POV. 

WARNING: SAD CRAP COMING THROUGH!

Wanda slammed a bot into the ground, shattering it while I skillfully decayed another bot, used its dust to make a sword and stabbed another. Then all of a sudden, we heard a loud roar of a plane, Wanda and I smirked and sprinted over to the edge where, Pietro and Cap were. And in the sky there was a huge hover craft with an Eagle symbol etched on the side.

Piet looked at Cap "This is S.H.I.E.L.D.?" Cap nodded, smirking. Piet looked back at the hovercraft, "This is not so bad..." I chuckled at his amazement and they both looked back at us. "Captain Rodgers said that they will help us save people, princessa!" You see, Pietro and I have been dating for around 3 years and he is the love of my life. Cap groaned and Wanda glared at us "Get a room you two!" We all chuckled "Sorry to intrude, but there are bot on the way to the power core." F.R.I.D.A.Y. came in through our earpieces. "Thank you, F.R.I.D.A.Y." Cap thanked the AI.

Wanda looked away "I'll go and protect it, you two help people get off of this death trap, I can take care of myself." Piet looked offended "You know, I am twelve minutes older than you!" I groaned "Ya know, I'm a month older than both of you. Let's go, Scotch." I reminded both of them, Wanda started to laugh as Piet picked me up and we sped away.

We had ran around the whole island and helped anyone we found get to safety. We had gotten to the edge where the ships were, walking to get on one when we saw Clint run out of one of the carriers and to a little boy. I heard a mini-gun above me, so I looked up and saw Ultron in the crashed Quinjet. Piet's face dropped and he kissed me as if it would be our last.

"I love you (Y/N), so very much.." He whispered into the kiss as he slipped something into my pocket and started to sped away. It was almost like slow motion as Ultron started to shoot at Clint, but Piet got there first. I didn't see what happened, all I saw that Clint moves and blood. So. Much. Blood. And bullets, everywhere. That, is when my world ended. The only thing I could hear was our breathing synchronizing and his last words, "You didn't see that coming?" 

Thud.

His body fell, and I could feel his heart stop... And all I could do, was laugh. Laugh and cry, and that's when my already damaged psyche broke into a million pieces. Banner slammed into the Quinjet into the ground as I fell onto my knees, laughing and snorting my ass off. I kept babbling through my laughs. All of my fingers touched the ground, and it started to decay, turn into dust.

Cap ran to me and grabbed my hands, "(Y/N), (Y/N)! Calm down!" I started to bawl my eyes out as my laughing episode worsened, "He, He said. HE SAID!!" My mind was no where to be found as Cap picked me up and carried me to the ship as the island started to fall, taking Wanda with it. My family, killed in the span of 10 minutes... I don't know if my body can take this...

It's been about a month since the Battle in Sokovia, and its the day of Pietro's funeral. My mind has healed, some what, and it started when I found out Wanda was alive. I'm wearing a tight black dress with white stripes and a barrette. I walk into the parlor and up to his casket, he looks so peaceful... His hair is tame, which surprised me, he never brushed his hair. I can't see any of his wounds, they patched him up expertly.

I pull out the small box Pietro slipped into my pocket that day, I was healing so I never had time to look at it. I open it and its an engagement ring in the infinity symbol adorned with purple amethyst stones, he was going to propose, and I would've said yes... I slip on the ring as I started to tear up, engrave on the side, it says, "We'd Never Would've Seen This Coming... Forever and always yours.". I started to cry as I leaned into his coffin and kissed his forehead, and whispered, "I do, forever and always."
