The Magic of a Wink and Smile!! {Haruhi Fujioka X Non-Binary! Autistic! Reader}

Notes: So, the Autistic part isn't really evident, but most people who are Autistic, myself included, don't like to really talk about it. Also, the original title was 'The Magic of a Rose, Wink, and a Smile', but the thing said it was too long, so I had to change it. Also, '(D/N)' means 'Dead Name'.

TW: There is a MILD Panic Attack

It's my second year at the famous Ouran Academy and.... It sucks! Nobody says my proper pronouns, they continuously dead name me, it's too loud, and there is never ANYWHERE to study in peace!(A/N: There are nuclear Scotsmen, grappling hook loin clothes, I just ate the last cat, my uncle touched me, I can't dance, THIS IS ALL GOING TO SH*T!! Change. I'm so sorry...) Walking through the halls during lunch is one of my only moments of true peace. All of the libraries are full of hustle and bustle, along with all of the classrooms. I walk into the only hall of peace, coincidentally next to the only room I never go into in this school, Music Room 3. 

I sit down with my lunch and start to eat when I see my only friend in this hellhole, Haruhi Fujioka. Although, he looks...different. He has a school uniform and is walking with my two least favorite people, Hikaru and Kaoru Hitachiin. They are the loudest men in this speaker. Haruhi noticed me and walked up, "Hey, (D/N), you okay?". He is the one of , if not THE sweetest boy in this school. "Yeah, I just want quiet..." He nods and holds out his hand to help me up, "C'mon, I'll take you with me to the host club today and let you study in the back room." I looked at him and shrugged, grabbing his hand, "Can I take food?". He chuckled and nodded. 

I squatted down to get my bag and food as the trouble-making twins 'ooo'ed at us," Looks like Haruhi's got a girlfriend!!". He looked at them "It's not like that, guys! Her and I are just friends!!". I walked up behind him and the twins noticed who I was, "You're friends with 'Crazy (D/N)'?". Haru looked at me and shook his head, grabbed my hand, and lead me into my worst nightmare, Music Room 3, AKA The Loudest Room in the Entire School.

Haru leads me though the room, covering my ears so that I don't go into a sensory overload, and like the idiot I was I forgot my noise cancelling headphones. Once we had made it into the room, Haru uncovered my ears and dimmed the lights, "I'll come back and get you once the club is over, okay?". I nodded and sat down as he closed the door, and when my head calmed down, I started to study so I could pass the exams.

After a few hours of studying, I started to get worried, had he forgotten about me? I felt my heart start to race, breathing quicken, and vision going blurry. Crap, I'm having another panic attack. My hearing fuzzed, so I didn't hear the door open, but I heard the voice, "(D/N), you done yet?" The voice cuts off when they see me, "(D/N)!!" They run over to me and put their hands on my shoulders. I look up to see Haruhi He didn't forget about me after all! I started to calm down until I her Hikaru, "Whoa, is (D/N) alright, she looks pretty bad..." 

That was it, "MY NAMES NOT (D/N)!!!".The other hosts in the club come up to the door frame while Haruhi's in complete confusion, "What do you mean?" Haru looks into my eyes, "My names (Y/N), I'm Non-Binary..."Everyone gasped and Haru chuckled, "Why didn't you tell me, I would've adapted, and I will now..." I nod and finish calming down. And, THAT, was the moment I fell in love with Haruhi Fujioka, who later told me he was a girl, so I adapted. 

About a month after my 'Coming Out', me and Haruhi started dating. I was held back for a year because I failed my exams, so me and Haru were in the same grade. And let me tell you, Tamaki was NOT happy when we started dating, but he got used to it. Oh, did I forget to mention? I joined the Host Club as the first Non-Binary host, and the ladies love me, but I only have on true love, Haruhi Fujioka. I guess that's The Magic of a Wink and a Smile!!

A/N: That was 683 word of pure awesomeness!! I had a fun time writing this one, and have a lot, and I mean A LOT more planned for the future, and hopefully, the schedule will be two oneshots every other day, So Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Have a good day, here, in Darkness!!
