"Sitting next to you is like taking a sip of eternity, the sun, the stars the sky, never tasted so good." -Christy Ann Martine
Chapter 4. Love Comes In Waves
•Chance P.O.V•
Its been a week now and there's still no sign of her any where's, well I cant really say that since I find her in everything. Stella said she'd call me if she heard anything. I look out the windshield, the waves crash against the rocks harsh. Nobody's at the beach today since the sky is dark.
Having Sawyer was like having it all, her smile although was rare, lighted up my days, her laugh brought me to life and her love was like holding eternity in my hands. Sawyer Brielle Queen is my eternity.
The love I have for Sawyer didn't happen slowly, it didn't appear like a song on the radio, it came in crashing waves and I didn't know how to swim. I let the under toe swallow me, because I knew either way, I was going to love her. From the time I saw her, I knew.
I rip my gaze away from the beach when my phone starts ringing, "Hello?" I ask, I didn't bother checking caller ID. I hear heavy breathing on the other end and someone sniffles.
"There's been an accident," Stella sobs, my stomach drops and I feel like I'm going to vomit, "There was a car accident, she's been in a coma for four days now. I'm so sorry." She chokes out, sobbing.
"Stella, take the rest of the day off, go home and sleep. I'll be fine, thank you," I strain out, she blows her nose, her breathing still uneven from all the crying.
I hear her cough, "What about you? Where are you going?" She questions, I sigh. She's just like her father, over caring about others. I glance down at the beach, the hungry waves smashing at the rocks, reminding me.
"I'm going to save my forever." I say, I hang up and slide my phone into my pocket. Turning the keys I start the engine and back out of the cliff parking lot, speeding down the road.

I run up to the front desk, "I'm here for Sawyer Queen," I say, the older lady glances up at me before searching something up on the computer. Seconds feel like hours before she finally speaks.
"Room 212-." She says, I cut her off by taking off down the halls. Searching desperately for her room. Nurses move out of my way as I run.
212 I push open the door and nearly fall to my knees. She lays on the hospital bed, hooked up to a heart monitor, Iv and Breathing machine. The machines all on the left side of the bed. I pull a chair over to her bed and sit there, taking everything in. Her pale face, plump lips, the way her eye lashes brush her cheek bones, her long chestnut hair.
God I missed her so much
I grab her hand and hold it gently in my own, my thumb rubbing across her knuckles as I take in everything. There's a few cuts and bruises on her face but other then that, she's ok. I lean down and press my lips to her hand, trailing small kisses over her hand.
"Sorry, I didn't think anyone would be here," The doctor says, walking in with a clip board in his hand. I smile weakly at him, he looks old enough to be my dad. He's lean with greying hair.
"I'm Chance, she doesn't have family," I say, my voice coming out smaller than I'd like. I watch his expression change when he sees me holding her hand in mine.
"I know, I was her Dads bestfriend, we went to school together and I was his best man. I'm actually her godfather. My names Levi," He says, shaking my free hand. We both look at Sawyer, the silence comfortable.
