"I spent my days waiting for you, searching the crowds for your face, I stopped breathing the moment you recognized me, as you captured my soul in your gaze." - Christy A. Martine.

Chapter 5. Sweet Little Hello's.

•Chance P.O.V•

Three days have passed and nothing, I call Britain everyday, he's been keeping a watchful eye on my mother. Apparently Keith has been helping out with the girls, keeping Bronwyn, Meryl and Hope entertained. Even if it means their hooked on The Fresh Prince of bel-air, at least their not arguing.

"So, I looked over her test results from last night and she's been responding to the medications," Levi says, walking in when I was just pulling the blankets up over her body. I look over at him with a tired smile, I haven't been getting much sleep.

All the memories of us filling my mind at night time, just when I close my eyes I remember her sparkling eyes and beautiful smile. Its like little movies that play over and over in my head.

Letting out a yawn I try to talk, "That's great! When do you think she'll wake up?" I ask, sitting down in the chair beside her bed. He looks over his charts, flipping through pages and checking some things off.

He glances up with a wide smile, "Any day now," He states, "I'll be back in a half hour, I need to go tend my stomach." He says, I chuckle while watching him leave, closing the door behind him. Relief fills up inside me, I'll be able to see her beautiful eyes and hear her voice.

I grab my I-Phone and press Skype, connecting with them almost instantly. The kids all sit there, Britain holding the I-Pad in his hands, making sure he got all of them in there. Its been so long since I've last seen them.

I've been gone three weeks and missed so much, Keith got himself a girlfriend, Hope had her birthday and Meryl lost another baby tooth. I sit up, holding up the phone as I slide beside her on the bed, making sure the kids could see her as well.

"She's going to wake up any day now the Doc said," I say, grinning at them. They all break out into smiles, chatting up a storm. Britain gives me a relieved smile and mouths thank you.

The minutes pass slowly and soon its been already twenty minutes, the kids telling me a bunch of stories, but now their all talking about The Fresh Prince of bel-air. Rolling my eyes I smile anyways, watching Keith bang his head off the wall.

"I'm going to be just like Ashley!" Hope squeals, bouncing up and down on the couch. Keith pokes her side, causing her to lose balance and fall into the cushions. Bronwyn and Meryl burst out into a laughing fit as Britain rolls his eyes at them, smiling none the less.

I yawn again, looking around the small hospital room, thankfully we'll be out of here soon. I freeze when I catch movement out of the corner of my eye, "I have to let you go, I'll call you later." I say, disconnecting and slipping my phone back into my pocket. I sit stilly, seeing if it happens again.

I nearly shout when her fingers move, hopping off the bed I sit down, watching her whole body move. She starts out slowly, moving her arms and legs, the last thing she moves is her eyes. Tears fall down my face when she finally opens her eyes, a look of confusion written on her face.

"Chance?" She coughs out, sitting up carefully, "Is this another dream or are you actually here?" She asks, rubbing her hands over her eyes, almost pulling out her Iv. She frowns, looking down at her body, she reaches up and gently takes out the tubes in her nose.

Smiling, I call for the Doc before answering her question with a question, "You dream about me?" I ask, feeling all giddy inside, like a kid in a candy store. I have her back, and this time I'm not letting her go.
