Hey guys. snow day!!!!!!!!!! so I'm updating, since no one else has updated their stories today and I'm bored.

When I got to Alexis's home, Maria and Alexis were talking. Alexis was smiling and Maria was upset. When Alexis saw me, she glided over and just stared into my eyes. "It's your destiny," she whispered as her stare penetrated my mind.

On my way home, I realized that I didn't know his name. I would find out next time I saw him. It was my turn to ak questions this time. I swam in with a smile on my blushing face. Haley was napping, and Marissa was talking to her friend Andrew. Andrew was an octopus we had met while out searching for food. He seemed nice, and I knew he was into Marissa. I predicted that they were going to be together soon enough.

The next morning, I took the girls to Kayla and Leanna to hang out. I secretly that Andrew came with tem and never left Marissa's side. I headed up to the beach and pulled myself into the warm sand. I could get used to this everyday. The boy came and started to dray the rest of me. I assumed that he was finished with my tail.

"What's your name?" I asked him.

"Ethan," He replied.

"I'm Dylan," I said to answer his unspoken question.

He smiled and looked at my face. He said that he was trying to "capture" my features.

"Do you think I'm pretty?" I blurted, "I've heard all the mermaid stories and they always describe mermaids as beautiful girls who live underwater. It's true for all my friends, so I was wondering if it was true for me, " I explained.

I pulled myself up onto a rock where my tail was just barely in the water as he put his sketchpad where the water wouldn't reach it. He came down and sat on the rock next to mine. He cupped my face in his hand and met my eyes.

"You are the most beautiful girl I've ever seen," he said.

I realized that we were drifting closer, and before I realized what was happening, he closed the gap. He kissed me, and I knew that we were perfect for each other. I heard giggling from out in the water and smiled against his lips.

"We have an audience," I whispered.

"Well then, lets give them something to watch," he said.

He kissed me again and I lost myself. I knew that I would never get used to this feeling and I realized that I never wanted to. Reluctantly, I pulled myself back and smiled at him.

"I have to go," I whispered.

He smiled and I wished that I could stay with him forever. I thought about it and realized that there was a way we could be together. I pulled myself off the rock and back into the water where I could control my movements better. I swam out farther into deeper waters, but not deep enough that he souldn't stand.

"Come here!" I yelled at him across the beach.

He threw off his shirt and jeans, running out to me in his boxers. I blushed.

"Do you want to be with me?" I asked. "Like forever?

He thought for a moment, and I was worried he would say no. He thought more, then said, "Of course I do, but we can't. Your a fish and I'm not." He looked disappointed.

"Would you become a fish like me if you could?" I asked nervously.

"Are you kidding? I would do anything to get away from my parents. My dad is always drunk and my mom is horrible."

"Ask me."

"Ask you what?" he siad with confusion.

"Ask me to change you."

"Dylan, will you change me into a...." he thought for the word. "Merman?"

With that, I took his hand and suddeny, I knew what to do. I started to sing. Not the kind of singing that has words, but the kind that just has music. All the emotions I had about Alexis and my foster parents came out in the song. When I was finished, I opened my eyes and saw Ethan. He was a merman. I had done it! I had changed a human into a merman! I didn't know what to do after that, so I took his sleeping body to the cave where Alexis had taken me, Marissa, and Haley.

I didn't realize the girls and Andrew (Shocker) were following me until Andrew said, I've never seen anything like that before!"

I realized he was talking to Marissa, and casually turned my head to see one of his tentacles around her shoulders. I smiled. I was happy that Marissa had someone like I did.

When I got to the cave, I laid him down on the rock I had woken up on. I sent the little ones to go get Kayla. She would know what to do about this. When they were gone, I took a moment to really take in what I had done. I had changed him. I had taken a nice, kind boy and changed him into a fish. I looked him up and down. His tail was teal, like mine. According to Alexis, only true mates had the same color tails. His hair had gone from dark brown to a sandy blond color. And he had ABS! I was glad he was asleep and couldn't see me blush. He was absolutely perfect. And I couldn't believe he was mine.
