Alexis sat and thought about her daughter. She thought about the prophecy she was forced to carry out. Having a child with a shark. Such a horrible thing. Even if he was the king. She hated them for making her take her daughter to land for the first thirteen years of her life. She knew her daughter would be mad, and she hated them for making her abandon the child she loved.

She hated those men in the white coats. They found her daughter with the faintest trace of a tial still on her. They had always run tests and never told her anything, taking her to the water when she was asleep to see what would happen. She knew it was her fault, that she had to say goodbye before leaving her daughter for someone to find. She knew that if she had taken her daughter to the beach just one minute earlier, they would've found  normal baby girl. not some strange little kid who looked like she was half fish. She hoped that Dylan would hear the prophecy and figure out that she was supposed to unite the sharks and the mermaids into one kingdom. Alexis knew that her daughter was the one who had to do it. She hoped that Dylan wouldn't try to make her sisters human again. She knew Dylan didn't want to go back though, and wouldn't try to take her sisters back either.
