I Hate Him... But Love Her...

Chapter 1:

"Bye, Uncle Lance, see ya after class!" 17 year old, Anna called out as she headed out to school. She had to drop her 8-week old daughter, Amira, off at the home daycare down the street first and then walk over to school, so she always left about 30 mins early. 

"See you when you get home, Anna!" He called back. He was cleaning up after the breakfast the family had shared. His wife walked over kissed him on the cheek and left for work. "Guess I have the house to myself for a few hours... Better clean up for the girls..." He thought. He began drying the dishes. 

They lived in the town of Jellico, Tennessee. It was a small town of about 2,000 people. Morton Lane was the street closest to the school. It was also the street on which they lived. Anna had been raised in Nashville, Tennessee which was huge compared to the rinky dinky town of Jellico. 

Lance began going from room to room collecting the laundry. He got to Anna's room and saw a journal that was left open on her bedside table. He decided to close it but when he saw the tear-stained pages before it he decided to read them.

It's Tuesday, December 4th, 2018, and I met him! We had always seen him around school because he was one of the popular kids. He was the most famous tailback on the football team. He was also known in school for the most home runs on the baseball team. To me, Brooke, and Dani he was the cutest guy in school. He was known for helping the school develop a club for the misunderstood people who got in trouble all the time as well as a club for the LGBT+ students in the school. I, in all honesty, wanted to be in the LGBT+ club but my parents would definitely kick me out for that. I just wanna support everyone, that's all. I mean Dani is non-binary for Pete's sake and my parents love them and use the right pronouns, but if I were to join a club like that I'd be disowned and kicked out with really no place to go. It's not fair to me. But anyway, back to him! He has blonde hair, dreamy blue eyes, and a dazzling grin. He makes everyone want him with his specialty smile. It was early in the morning and the bell hadn't even rung for 1st block yet. I got my books out of my locker as Dani walked over from their locker. They asked me if I was ready for school and of course I wasn't. I told them I was going to class early and that I'd catch up later. Little did I know HE was standing behind me. I ran smack into him and dropped my notebooks and papers on the floor. He bent down with me as I kept apologizing. He and I both grabbed my last notebook and we locked eyes. He told me that it wasn't every day that a cute girl runs into him. HE called ME cute! I literally started to panic internally. I just smiled on the outside and asked him if he knew who he was talking to. He answered and told me that I was in his biology class last year and now he is in two of my classes. Chemistry and Economics. He smiled and asked if he could walk me to my first class of the day. I decided to be coy about it. I literally told him that I didn't know if Mr. Popular himself wanted to walk with a nobody. He told me that I was someone and we began walking to my class together. It was like a scene out of the movies! It's like we are meant to be together! Once I got to class we waved and he told me he'd see me in Chemistry. I have that class every day for 5th block which is the last class of the day.
