The New Girl

Chapter 4

The same day

I walked into class 10minutes later than Mitch

Alfie didn't really care, but i saw Mitchell's face light up as i walked in. As i slipped into my seat beside him he leant down and whispered in my ear

"I thought you'd gone home"
"I couldn't, I'd miss you too much" i said, half teasing, half telling the truth
"Come off it" he laughed, but I could tell he was happy at what I had said

We were sitting  close together yet not quite touching, until i began to doze off, and he wrapped his arm around me. I shivered at his touch, thinking, ohmygod could he fancy me too?

He looked at me confused, "No?" he asked, hurt, going to remove his arm as i had shivered

I decided to do it, now or never i told myself

"No...stay" i said, as i snuggled into his chest. I heard him gasp under his breath and i started to doze off again.

I woke up some time later, and i could hear Jing yell something at Alfie in Chinese. I tuned into what Mitch and Rem were saying instead, still lying against Mitch with my eyes closed, still looking like i was fast asleep.

"Look how beautiful she looks asleep"

My heart skipped a beat and I thought, does he like me back? Should i wake up and talk to him?

I decided to stay where i was, as he put both his arms round my shoulders hugging me tight

"You need to tell her mate" RemDog said, "tonight. I know a girl from form F who's had her eye on Ella for ages now, and she's gonna make a move if you don't."

The thought of that excited me, but i didn't care to know who this Form F girl was, Mitchell was the only one i wanted, and by the sound of things he wanted me too.

"I will. Tonight." he said. "Or maybe tomorrow? Or never?"

"Don't be a pussy Mitchell" I heard Chantelle say

Oh great, now she's involved. I do love her but she wants me and Mitch to get together and she can be very stubborn when she sets her mind to something

"I mean she's asleep on your chest right now, you look like a couple already" Chantelle laughed kindly "I bet she'll say yes too"

I didn't want anything else getting out so i yawned and pretended to wake up as Chantelle walked away. She looked back and winked at me, knowing I was awake the whole time

I smiled up at Mitchell, who immediately relaxed his tense body when i did.

"Why is it you're always sleeping in class" he laughed

"Didn't get much sleep last night" I spent all night dreaming about Mitch to be honest, but i wasn't going to tell him that

"Neither did i-" he said, getting cut off by RemDog

"Too busy shagging each other!" he laughed, pointing

"At least he has someone to shag Rem, you're going to die a virgin!" i remarked, laughing

"Tell that to Mitchell's Mum" he grinned, receiving a smack on the head for it from Mitch.

Normally he takes these jokes fine, and comes up with his own witty remark, but he seemed stressed about something. I grabbed his hand and rubbed circles into his palm to relax him.

He smiled down at me and asked "What are you at Ella"

"It's supposed to help relax you, my Dad did it to me when i was a kid"

I rested my head on his shoulder and kept his hand in mine, still rubbing circles.

"You seem worked up, all okay?" I question

"Yeah yeah i'm fine" he grinned "was a bit stressed but it's all good innit"

The bell rang and we both got up, grabbing our bags. I walked over to Chantelle and Stephen and they winked at me and i laughed.

"What!" i giggled
"We know you heard what Mitchell said babes!" Stephen said
"Maybeeee" i teased
"Has he asked you to come over"
"Not yet, but he might"

As we walked out of the classroom into the hall,  I was going to Science, Mitch to Geography.

"Hey Ella, come to mine tonight yeah?"
"I'll be there at 7"

He grinned and walked off, and i watched him until he was out of sight, running up to meet Chantelle who was in my next class

"He asked me to come over tonight!"
"Yes babes! What time?"
"7"
"You're coming to mine after school, i'm doing your hair and makeup and there's no way he'll pussy out of asking you now"
"Asking me what?" i giggled acting dumb

Chantelle and I burst into a fit of laughter and went to class

It was lunchtime, and Chantelle and I made our way over to the smoking table where Stephen, Joe, Mitchell and RemDog were already sat. Chantelle sat down beside Stephen and began whispering, telling him everything she could about me and Mitch.

I laughed at the pair of them and slipped into the seat beside Mitch.

"Still on for tonight yeah?" he asked nervously
"Course"

He relaxed immediately and swung his arm around me again, getting an "awww" from the group, to which we stuck our middle fingers up at.

We talked all of lunch and then started making our way to the next class, but as we were walking, Mitch grabbed my wrist and pulled me into the storage locker.

I sat down on a little stool and he did the same.

"Maths sucks dick, skip with me?" he asked
"Sure" i laughed "But why the storage locker?"
"Only place with a bit of privacy in this school"

We talked for a bit until i felt sleepy again, and luckily he was right beside me. I leant my head against his shoulder and took a nap, until i heard the bell.

RING RING RING
RING RING RING
RING RING RING

"We'd better get going then" Mitch sighed
"I guess so"

My heart was racing, and in this dark storage locker, with the boy of my dreams i made an impulse decision.

I kissed him.

He froze for a moment, and then melted into the kiss, as i ran my hands up his back. I wanted to stay here forever, in this moment, but i couldn't skip another class or id get into shit with Alfie. I pulled apart from the kiss, as Mitch gasped for air.

"wow" he said
"see you tonight!" i called as i left the storage locker, leaving him shocked and out of breath.

By god was i excited for tonight
