We attended Patrick's burial and it was overwhelming and heart-breaking. He had no one of close relation except Sam and his granddaughter, Judith. Sam had already told me she was intending to fly from London to the country and start taking care of Patrick's business affairs with assistance from Sam. Patrick endeared Sam and saw the goodness in him when no one else did.
Judith was only 23 years old, and she looked beautiful. It was pleasurable to set my eyes on her and just gaze. Her chestnut brown eyes were inviting and had thick lips that looked beautifully placed on her face. Her earthy coloured skin tempting me to lay my fingers out of relish. She was a gorgeous young lady. She and Sam had a good relationship, but I had never met her in person as she had moved at a young age.
She saw me looking at her, then she winked at me. With that, I quickly snapped out of it. I remembered we were there because Patrick and I did not want to seem ignorant, busy staring at his granddaughter.

After everyone departed, Sam and I stayed with Judith. We had to help her clean up and feel comfortable around her 'adopted' family which was us.
Sam had to go somewhere for business while Judith and I stayed together. "My man never changes, even after a funeral, he ditches me", my head screamed.
It was awkward between Judith and I. I barely knew her, and she seemed quite sophisticated for her age. I was fifteen years older than her, but it didn't look like it at all. She hardly said a word to me while cleaning up and I was wondering if she was ok.
We finished cleaning and then she went to get glasses and poured us whiskey.
"Oh! Thank you but I don't drink whiskey, Judith." I said as she put the bottle down and she turned her head to look at me with those eyes of hers. I immediately felt embarrassed without knowing why.
She shrugged and smirked, "I guess I will have it all to myself." She had a British accent. She must have been in London for a longer time than I thought.
"I'm Vivian by the w..." she cut me off.
"I know who you are. You're Samuel's girlfriend."
"I'm not his 'girlfriend', I'm his wife!"
"Okay! Whatever that makes you sleep at night." she gave me the smug expression that made me realize she was arrogant. "You are adorable, I must say." She added.
"Thank you!" she drank her glass of whiskey then took a deep sigh and looked at me. I was getting nervous, her stares made me feel naked. She was analysing me, more like undressing me with her eyes, and thought I could not see it. Nevertheless, I enjoyed indulging in thoughts of lust...well, I shouldn't have! I'm straight, innit!?
"You should take it with a grain of salt, now!" she said while sipping her glass of whiskey. "Well, my apologies, Vivian. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings by saying you are his girlfriend. Happy?"
I nodded and she just kept staring and drinking like her grandfather. "Is Sam planning to come back or should I take you home?" she asked.
"Please take me home, Judith!" I demanded.
She drove me home and kept talking and talking. She was not what I expected. She was funny but I did not want to show her that she was, she would have gotten cocky about it. She did not look me in the eye, which showed me she was afraid of me.
"I heard you are a behavioural analyst; do you love your job?" she asked
"Ever heard of curiosity being the death of the cat?" I asked. I was tired of talking to her and listening to her nonsense.
"You don't have to be a bitch about it, now, do you?" she asked. My eyes widened with disbelief.
"Judith, watch your tongue! I'm older than you."
"Vivian, come on now! I was joking." she held my hand. Her touch was soft, and I was having goosebumps. I looked at her and she could not maintain eye contact.
"Judith, you are such an arse!" I said and she stopped the car. "What do you think you're doing?"
"Come on, Vivian! I am honestly sorry, I didn't mean to get you vexed, aight! It's just grief kicking in... I'm usually a 'polite' person." she explained. "I could buy you a drink, well if you don't mind...the finest Cabernet Sauvignon I've ever had..."
"I'll drink wine when I get home, thanks! Now let's get going."
We drove off. The way Judith spoke was vulgar and rude, but I thought it was because she was raised by her grandfather, to whom she had a striking similarity. She was beautiful when she would decide to be quiet but then she would start talking and I felt like putting her on mute.
We arrived at my house, and I was glad the ride was over. I wanted to take off my shoes and bra and wear my loose clothes and read a book.
"Sam is not around, I could keep you company if you don't mind!" she said. My eyes widened. That was the second thoughtful thing she said that day.
"It's okay, I'll be fine. Thanks for the ride." I said as I walked away.
"I insist, this is me making it up to you!" I turned and she was still waiting for me to agree. I rolled my eyes and sighed.
"Come in." I spoke.
Judith was sweet at some point. I honestly believed she was bipolar. In one moment, she was rude, the next she said pleasant things, and the next moment, she was silent.
I poured her wine and left her downstairs while I headed upstairs to change. I got into my bedroom and threw myself on the bed and took a deep sigh of relief. I then took my shoes and stockings off and could not unzip the back of my dress.
"Judith, can you come up here please?" I called out and she came.
"Yeah!" she said.
"Can you..." I cleared my throat and pointed at the zip at the back.
"Oh! Of course." she slowly unzipped my dress, and I could feel her warm breath softly hitting the back of my neck. As the zip slowly slid down, the dress fell off my shoulders and it did not matter to me until the zip reached the end above my behind. For some reason I wanted her to tell me she was done, and I waited. She unclipped my bra and lifted the shoulders of the dress. My heart started beating fast and then I turned, and she smiled, "I'm done!" she said. I smiled too and she stepped out to give me privacy.
I then wandered downstairs wearing my shorts, loose t-shirt, and flip flops and my nipples were visible and looked like they wanted to pierce through my t-shirt. I poured myself wine and sat with Judith and watched TV. After a few minutes of silence, she said: "Your breasts are perkier than mine!" With that, my eyes widened, and I spit out the wine into my glass. She looked at me and we began to laugh and talk. She then made me watch a movie. I fell asleep while we were watching.
