chapter five: 21 guns

~Ty's P.O.V~

I woke up in a strange room with nothing but..oak planks? Wait, i've heard about oak planks before... could it be-? I quickly sat up but hit by a mindbreaking headache, my eyes scanned the room and it seems actaully nice, there were book shelves in one corner of the room and a mini drawer beside the bed i was sitting, it was...morning? Yeah, i could have guessed it cause i actually know what the sun looked like, only..this is my first time seeing it personally.

I ran over to window and looked out in the open, it was beautiful, the trees, the grass, it was perfect, i let out a sigh when i realized that something was definitely wrong.

I looked over to my back and saw the most horrible thing i have ever seen.

"M-my wings!! No!!" I screamed then turned around only to find that my tail was missing as well

"Nonononon this can't be, No!!" I broke down and cried, those wings mean a lot to me, they were my escpae from reality, they were my blessing..but now..they're gone.

Just then, I heard light foosteps approaching, i panicked and my mind went blank, "oh no..what do i do?!! Uhmm..uh" i eagerly waited for the door to open ,fear and confusion filled my mind.

The door finally opened, revealing the figure of a boy, about my age.

He had brown messy hair and he was wearing some sort of, black t shirt and black pants. His dark sunglasses covered his eyes and there was pure shock plastered on his face.

"Oh! You're awake" he started, for the record, his voice was a little to loud, so i figured that this guys is going to be something.

"Uhhmm" was all i could say "the name's Sky, what's yours?" He asked..wait- should i tell him? Can i even trust this guy? Well, he seems nice and all, so yeah, might as well take the chance.

"M-my name is..Deadlox..b-but you can call me T-ty" i stuttered,slightly hiding my face with my bangs,in case you didn't know, i'm a little shy when it comes to meeting new people.

Sky flashed a smile at me then said, "well, Ty, you must be hungry..want some breakfast?" He asked..well, that's very nice of him to offer breakfast, he must be a caring person to others

"Uhmm, sure, i'd love to" i replied, Sky smiled then headed out the door, closing it behind him

I sat down, bewildered and scared of what was to come, he acted like he didn't even know i had wings..or a tail, but something still botheres me, i mean, how did i end up here? I'm guessing the portal worked but..question is..how will i be able to get back?

My thoughts got interupted by a voice that called out to me.

"Uhmm...hey, Ty! Breakfast is ready, come on down" Sky called from downstairs

"Coming!" I shouted back at him as i got to my feet and scrambled downstairs, i couldn't believe that i'm here! In the overworld! All of which are new to me and..i just can't shake off the thought of me finally free.

Free from marriage, free from my father, and free from my past.

When i reached downstairs, I was greeted by Sky's smile

"C'mon" said Sky, beckoning me which i followed directly, he knows this world better than i do, so, might as well ge used to it.

We ginally reached the kitchen when the smell of bacons (yes, we actually have bacons back at home) filled my nose. Sky sat down on one of the chairs and gestured for me to take the seat across him where a plate with bacons, resided.

I took a seat then ate my food quietly, the silence became intense when Sky decided to kill it.

"So, how did you end up under that oak tree?" He asked while raising his eyebrow and adjusting his sunglasses on his nose.

I just sat there and looked at him, i swear, i look like an idiot in front of him right now, and i'm guessing that Sky saved me last night, only thing i remembered was seeing a boy about my age but i never really got a good look at him..not until now, and i was grateful that he saved me from that ordeal.

"Uhmm..I-Idon't know either..i was just-" i paused and thought about my home..should i tell him? What if he'll freak out? I know how the overworlders hate the Enders. Well, most of them.
