Shade Pov
Shade never once thought that she was honorable or virtuous in any way. In fact, she thought that she was the complete opposite. She thought she was as unreliable as they could possibly come. Shade has deceived people, has removed their most valuables from them. But she has only done it to survive another day at least. Shade knew from a young age that to do something was to do it yourself, and many other lessons were beaten into her.
Shade was running down an alleyway, trying to get away from the strange people who were chasing after her. With sticks that she had no idea why they carry around for. Shade knew it was going to be a bad deal when she heard of it from some 'friends'. But the enticement was too good to pass up. 2 out of 4 were trying to flank her, but her years of survival kicked in all at once. All of them were male and refer to each other as Pads, Moony, Prongs, and Runner. 'Maybe nicknames', Shade thought to herself as she slid through a hole in a fence, large for her but small for them, for a second, Shade idly wondered if she should give them the bird, but decided to do it anyway, the looked of pure shock on 'Runner' was fucking awesome. She heard them cursing under their breath and Shade couldn't help but smirk, She got up brushing off her clothes even though it was useless, she turned around, gave a small bow before running off again...
It was nighttime out in the very busy London nightlife, and Shade was picking pockets of drunken fools. There was always a danger in getting caught, but that was the fun of it and Shade took that fun seriously...
She had entered the alleyway after a very good run. She was basically giggling at her haul, Then she was fucking ambush by the same people, and fight to ensure, and it was a fight she lost...
Runner POV
The man was carrying Harriet to Hogwarts, he didn't like how lightweight she was, he was following the esteemed Headmaster, whom he met just outside of the gates, and once they reached the Hospital Wing, the Matron bustled out of her office, her face nearly paling at the sight of Harriet. Shake it off quickly, the Matron pointed to a bed and got to work pretty quickly. So many broken bones reset. So many scars that he hasn't anticipated to see, "Is she going to be alright Poppy?" The man asks the Matron, "Let's hope so."
Shade POV
When Shade woke up, she didn't open her eyes, instead, she established her position. She felt the bed, the covers quietly and surreptitiously. Then she opened her eyes, the bright rays of the sunburst through the larger windows that soak through the cloth that hangs around the bed.. Carefully and stealthily getting out of the bed, she soon realized her clothes had been replaced, and her haul removed. She blinked away the blurred lines within her vision, though it really never did help. When the curtain was thrown open, Shade, scared, threw an fucking punch at the man, hitting him in the abdomen, before trying to run out of the room, which failed completely. As the one named 'Moony' had scooped her up. "Let me go you bastard" She screeched as she started moving her body in an attempt to get him off of her. The thing is, Shade hates being touched in any way that doesn't involve her permission. Years of living with the Dursley would do that to a child, with their need for normally and nothing weird in their mists. She focused her curse as the Dursley and she often called it, her hand heating up with a determination on burning the shit out of him. Her hands boiled as he yelped in pain, before grabbing a pole rod to defend herself. "Who the hell are you and what do you want from me?!" 'Runner' held up his hand to her, "Harriet, please put down that pole, and let's talk." He said, Shade looked at him like he grew 3 more heads, "I think you have me confused, my name isn't Harriet, so either you kidnapped the wrong girl or you just plain fucking deranged" Shade respond, watching him flinch. "Okay, then, we might have gotten off the wrong foot, let's introduce ourselves then, I'm Curt, this is Remus." Shade took a minute to decide whether or not to tell her name. "Shade, Just Shade." Shade responds with wariness.
Curt POV
Oh, how he was going to annihilate The Dursleys. She doesn't even know her real name but had a new name altogether, and seeing what they did to Harri- Shade, that he saw branding her skin. " Okay Shade, please put down the pole so we can have a chat." Curt tried a soothing tone. "Why the hell should I? You people kidnap me! For all I know, you're going to kill me." Shade accused. "No!" Curt yelled, watching Shade flinched before gripping the pole a little tighter. 'Okay, no yelling' Curt thought, so he lowered his voice, "We have no intention to kill you at all..."
Shade POV
She scoffed, "Bullshit." The man named Remus tried to get closer as if he was attempting to remove the pole from her, she swung at him, causing him to move back as he flinched. "Remus, stay back," Curt told him before looking back at her. "We are professors from a school, you're in that school right now." Curt quickly explained to her. 'Ah, he was trying to gain my trust' Shade thought, "Shade, Did you ever do anything that was weird or shouldn't be possible?" Remus asks. Shade's mind brings a lot up, though it was mostly forms of defense. "So what if I can do the strange crap? I was punished if I did anything that wasn't 'normal'," Shade responded. "It's called Magic." Curt injected, causing Shade to snort, "Magic isn't real." She snarked back, not missing the dark looked they cast to each other, "And who told you that?" Curt asks her, "A gigantic beetroot with a mustache and a Horse like a woman." She said, refusing to even say their name, they hurt so they wouldn't have a name in her book, Remus snorted in amusement, as if he knew who exactly she was referring to, while Curt sighs before saying, "Well they were wrong." Shade narrowed her eyes at him, "What the fuck do you mean?" "Magic is real and you're a witch." He dropped that bombshell, causing Shade to drop the weapon she was using, "I'm a Fucking what?!?!?!"
AN- Ya, I know, I decided to rewrite this because I decided to go in a way different from the original one. Please don't hate me for this. I also wanted to kind of flesh it out a little bit more, add a few more people to the soup, etc.
