Shade POV
Shade was walking behind Connors, who was leading her into Diagon Alley, she had to stop to admire and feel the course of magic going through her body. He chuckled behind her, "Welcome to Diagon Alley Shade." Shade was overwhelmed and didn't know how to proceed. Connors led her through the crowd, "Where are we going?" Shade asks, "To Gringotts, our wizarding bank." Soon they stood before an imposing snow-white, a multistoried marbled building that towers over the neighboring shops. Shade stared in awe and wonder, Connors placed his hands on his shoulder, and Shade had to hide a flinch from the contact. Carefully she walked up the steps, and once she walked in, she saw tiny people that were short and fair-skinned, with very long fingers and with dome-shaped heads "What are they?" Shade whispers, Connors having caught the question, quietly answer back "These are goblins, clever beings..."
The Goblins, to her, were very weird on so many levels, all of them seem to fear her on some level and no one seems to notice. But once they left Gringotts the strange stares seemed to disappear. For their shopping trip, they first went to a cauldron shop, in which Shade tried to steal a golden cauldron but got caught by Connors, in which she went to plan B, sweet-talked him to buy the cauldron for her, which failed and Connors brought her a pewter size cauldron and things needed for it, she pouts for a bit before going to the Apothecary shop, which she tried buying some of the most poisonous ingredients, which Connors reprimand her greatly. And brought the correct ingredients for something called Potions. And the next shop, Shade assessment, was the worst shop called Amanuensis, which Connors brought her quills and ink, which she eyes as she thought of ways to 'misplace' or destroy them by 'accident'. Now Flourish and Blotts were her least favorite parts of the shopping, though did try to buy a book on Dark Hexes, Connors stopped her. And made her get Magical Drafts and Potions, and Standard books of spells. Though Connors left her alone in a shop called Ollivanders, saying something about doing some personal business. Which left Shade all alone in this dusty room, then she heard a ladder move and there was an old man with pale silvery eyes and white skin, "I was wondering when I was seeing you, Miss Shade." Ollivanders spoke, causing Shade to become on guard. The man seems to notice the change, "You have nothing to fear here Miss Shade, may I ask which one is your dominant hand?" "I'm Ambidextrous, Sir." The man tutted before asking "May I use a tape measure to measure you?" Shade stop in her thoughts, clearly confused as to why he needed a tape measure to measure her, hesitantly, she said "Uh...Sure" only to find an ancient tape measure moving about on its own measuring her arms, and from top to bottom, as the man went to his selves stock boxes that were half-hazard stack and being looking though "It only seems like yesterday that your Mother and Father were here buying their first wands, though it wouldn't do good to speak good-will of them when you think of them as Ill-willed." And after the tape measure had done its job, he was beginning to pick out wands for her, which all didn't want her, till he went to the very back and came back, "This wand is a bit odd, Dementor Bone and Thestral Tail Hair, please try it." He said, and as Shade picked it up, coldness enveloped before warmth did, causing the lights to flicker vehemently, "How odd." Ollivanders spoke, "What odd." She asks, "This wand seems to have chosen you for unknown reasons that I could possibly not fathom." He said, fear overlapping his eyes, "But I can tell you something, you are destined for great things, terrible things, that will shake the wizarding world to its bones, and most needed wake-up call..." Connors got her a pet as a 'Birthday gift'. She never had a true birthday gift, nor a pet, it was a beautiful snowy owl that she named Hedwig...
