Shade POV

Shade eye the big room that was so named 'Great Hall' uncomfortable with the students and teachers staring, she shifted her on her feet, wanting to melt into the floor. She was thankful for the masks she had, easing all emotions that she felt right there right now, she calmly waited for her name while trying to control the surge of emotions evading her. "Shade," The woman said, and as Shade took a deep breath she stepped up, back straight as hell before sitting on the stool, the weird ass hat sat upon her, "My, my, what harsh life you had, no child should be like this." The hat spoke, its tone board line worried, "Why do you care about my life? Aren't you supposed to sort me in the house that best fits me?" Shade asks, the hat sighs before saying "I do but with a broken child..." Shade scorns at him "Call me a broken child again and I make sure you shall never sort again." Silent, "I think I know where you go now, better be... SLYTHERIN!" Shade took off the hat and walked over to the house of Green and Silver while her robes changed to match her sorting, sending an unnoticeable shiver to the untrained eye, though at first, no sounds came, but then clapping started, she sat down. She took note of a few classmates sorting, someone named Neville Longbottom, who was sorted into Gryffindor but was more of a Hufflepuff. Hermione Granger was sorted into Gryffindor as well and could have done well in Ravenclaw, Nott was sorted into Slytherin, and a boy named Draco Malfoy who had barely more than a second was also sorted into the house of Slytherin. A set of twins who looked the same, Padma and Parvati Patil was sorted into two houses, Padama to Ravenclaw, and Parvati to Gryffindor.

Curt P.O.V

As Curt watches the unsorted first years march up to the stool, he can't help but try and pinpoint Shade, sadly, Curt found her speaking quietly to Theodore Nott and Blaise Zabini, two people that Curt has no doubt would be sorted into Slytherin, yet it can't help but see that Shade was wearing no emotions on her face and has her eyes darting across the Great Hall. When the sorting went underway, Curt found himself unable to listen to most of the first year sorting, he would politely clap when everyone clap as well, but as Charles name was called, he was able to snap back to listen, the hat barely had a second on Charles' head before shouting "Gryffindor" and a happy Charles went to join his fellow classmates, but as soon as Shade's name was called is when Curt found that he had a lump in his throat, while most of the staff was idly curious in which the Boy-Who-Lived twin sister's house would be. A minute passed before Curt noticed that Shade was silently arguing with the hat. Then the hat opened its mouth...

"SLYTHERIN" The hat shouted out. This just makes Curt believe that Shade was more broken than she looked, as he watches Shade join the house of snakes. He can't help but feel his heart drop, even as Shade's Hogwarts robes changed to match the sorting. He heard Lily make a soft noise on the right side of him, "Don't worry Lils, we help her." Curt promised, and right now, it was a promise to keep to the full extent. And through the rest of the Sorting, he couldn't help but steal glances at Shade.

Lily P.O.V

Lily felt the day was going to get worse when she spotted Shade with Theodore Nott and Blaise Zabini, silently talking to them. And when the sorting went underway, they passed a large number before Charles was next, the hat barely had a second before calling out Gryffindor, but when it was Shade's turn, Lily found that she was holding her breath as Shade made her way to the stool...

"SLYTHERIN!" The hat shouts out, making Lily's heart drop a few meters. Shade's life with her sister will always be the one she regrets, she should have fought harder to keep her, then maybe, just maybe, her daughter will still be Heather Potter, she softly made a noise, and then Curt rested his hand on her shoulder, "Don't worry Lils, we help her." Curt's promise and Lily couldn't Fantom Shade want their help...

Charles P.O.V

"Slytherin!" The hat shout out, Charles didn't seem fazed, as if he knew that his twin would have gotten Slytherin since Shade had raised herself on the streets of muggle London and learn how to survive with abusive relatives, he studies his estranged sister as she walked to Slytherin's table, watching as her robes change to match her sorting, a Potter hasn't been sorted there since...the last century or so. He felt a ping in his heart as he looked over to his mother, who looked ready to cry while Uncle Curt comforted her.

Professor Snape P.O.V

"Slytherin!" The Hat shouts out, Professor Snape knew that Shade was a Potter, and Charles's twin. Dumbledore had told the whole staff about her, but he was a bit shocked to have her sorted into his house. He looked over to Lily, his once best friend, who looked about to cry but was comforted by Connors, then he looked over to Charles who seemed to be deep in thought before looking over to his mother. "She is quite different, isn't she?" Professor Quirrell stuttered, Snape made a noise in agreement, Shade was quite different...

Voldemort P.O.V

"Slytherin!" The hat shouts out, Voldemort was surprised, to say the least. Shade was sorted into Slytherin. Though something pulled at him, mentally,' She needs help, I can sense her pain.' his thoughts spoke to him, for now, he wouldn't go after Charles, or Shade, till one of them prove more powerful, he didn't remember who was the one who got him without a body, but he was pretty sure he was aiming at the girl, Or maybe it was the boy he was aiming at. He wasn't sure himself, and Lord Voldemort never once doubted himself before that night. But then again, he was quite off the rails before, he wasn't sure if it was Quirrell who was helping to keep him mentally stable, or just being at Hogwarts...
