The first full week without having Uncle Jim was coming to a close as Hercules and Lafayette cleared the guest bedroom they were staying in. They had made many new memories together including movie nights, having John over for a game night, and inviting the Schuyler Sisters over for a super fancy shmancy dinner; a few things, but more were made than just that.

Football season was coming closer and closer; the first game being later today. Alexander had to go, because he was in band, but he didn't need to be convinced. Football games were the highlight of the year and the feeling was pretty much mutual between the whole school.

Alexander knew he needed to wear something that would show his pride for the team. He searched his closet far and wide, looking for one costume in particular that would shock the whole school.

The school was buzzing with excitement. New freshmen, confused, but knew they should be excited. Sophomores wearing school colors. Juniors wearing the opposing school's team with eyes crossed out. Seniors, dressed head to toe in spirit wear and costumes.

"AYO YO YO YO WHAT TIME IS IT??" John Laurens screamed at the top of his lungs.

"Showtime SHOWTIME!" a chorus of seniors, juniors, and sophomores yelled back. John was the mascot and practically everyone love him. His moves on the field wowed everyone. The worm, duggie, superman. Stanky leg, backflips, front flips, high jumps. You name it, he did it. The crowds went wild when he did his special front flip into a split when his team won.

"Yo I'm John Laurens in the place to be. 2 pints of Gatorade but I'm working on 3! Them Calvaries won't win against us cause we will lob, tackle, lock them till we score!" Hollers erupted from the students until the doors to the cafeteria opened wide, revealing the most extravagant costume anyone had ever seen.

The red flowing cape dragged on the floor as he walked. The crown positioned perfectly on his head. The stockings and breeches clung tightly to his legs. The gold buckled loafers clicked and clacked with each exaggerated step. In his hands he held a cane that sparkled with jewels similar to those on his head.

"Alexander?" An exhausted voice sounded from the crowd.

"No! You mustn't call me that, peasant. My name is Prince Alexander." He said in a fake British accent.

"Ah, but why can't you be a King?" The same voice asked.

"Because good madam, my friend John here is the king. Isn't that right?"

"Of course! Me. I'm the King. I am the mascot and all!" Laurens said in a horrible British accent.

The whole school erupted into laughter, causing teachers to cringe and faculty to grab at their ears. They eventually settled down when the the bell, signaling first block, bleared its high pitched sound. The students left in an almost single file line, Alexander leading with John beside him.

"Alex, you really outdid yourself with this costume," John whispered.

They reached a fork in the hallway and each took separate turns. Hamilton was now alone in the hallway, no friend nearby.

:Alex:

I took the right hallway to science class in Coach Ponder's room. I hate this class and always will. He can't teach worth two shits so I have to rely on my friends, other teachers, and the great inter webs for help.

As I was passing a group of girls, my cape that was dragging behind me was stepped on, causing me to stumble forward and fall. My crown shattered into 15 pieces upon impact. The cane I was holding rolling on the ground.
