23th April 2016 :
Hard bangs on the table. Clocks struck thirteen at night and I received a letter exactly thirty two minutes before aunty died. I stood as a dumb witness and i knew, something wasn't very good ; there has to be something so as to why my voice shrugged. 4th Saturday of April and my body had given up already. I saw my sister move her body down with difficulty and away from me. She breathed in a way that wasn't normal, she swallowed air in. Mom looked at the landline and then the desk. I was scared why no one spoke. And also mom had just celebrated her 40th year of existence. My room gave a broken vibe, I could hear me skip a beat. "It is still 6 hours till moring. You go and take some rest. I'll stay with mom". Sister turns to me. It seemed as though she had to almost force her words out of her mouth. As soon as she finished her sentence, the silence had enveloped the room once again. Mom went to sleep and i did too.
I had my stomach on my bed and I felt what just happened was strange, not even an hour has been and my sister and uncle have already left. But mom didn't move. She was so horrified and yes, also that she had been fighting with constant wars since the last two weeks, she looked tired and stressed while I stood there all the time. Right then my phone started ringing, i held the phone upto my ear. "Hey papa...um, ya, of course...no, she won't mind...yeah be home at eight." I'd tried so hard not to sound nervous and i didn't.
As of now, the fear of my aunt's death had mostly sweated out of me, i hardly had a five hour sleep. A yellow day and I was in our backyard and was on my way to my personal cafeteria, i was told to be back by half an hour. I took my phone out and reread an article, a Wikipedia article that said, "Many people are afraid of dying" and also that, "Dying can be a choice." Strange! I was reading and walking towards home when i heard mom shouting at me through the open door of our house. "No phones in the halway, Bris!" I put my phone away and walked in. There were four minutes before papa could arrive. Mom looked up at the clock and then probably accidentally looked at me. "You okay?" She asked. "Yeah" i said which was just slightly true. I looked sweaty perhaps and mom had seen something in my eyes already. I had no idea of what, i mean, i dont know really. I had bunch of questions to ask about aunt's death and lots of them i thought could be browsed.
