Poetry

21 2 1

There were those days where poetrys were exchanged
Those days many words were hanging in the air
Yet like you said,
How could you leave someone that reads your thoughts
We were talking to each other even though we weren't there

Now the distance has drawn near
Promises to be frank
Jumped through hurdles
Hand in hand
Setting dreams for the future

Yet it seems further
I thought poetry was hard
This is harder
I can't decode
But I am not the one you share

I try to be gentle
I remember your words
After all the bliss and pain
How you held me tight and declare
You will be a fool to let it end
Is the graph going higher,
A statement not a question you had make
And I had fight off rounds of barriers
If you remembered

What are words
If we lost
The connection that makes us soul mates in the first place
