Rosy picture on the outside
I told myself life is hard, be contented
But I couldn't shake away the disappointment
Was it too much history, too many hurtsEverything seem perfect
Gifts exchanged, photos taken
High class dinner that I loveBut the restaurant was wrong
Yet I didn't mind
What I cared was this double date which you planned, got me somehow feeling that they were more in love, the other couple.I didn't want the night to end
So I suggested another place
My favourite place
My old place
I love that we were there
I love that you are hereBut the night didn't end with my expectations
I don't think you were happy with me there
You said something, I can't remember
Standing by the middle of the road
I feel ugly, I feel stupid
Some random friends walked by
Perhaps it wasn't loud enough to hear
But it was freaking Valentine's day
Why couldn't you make it a perfect dayYet somehow we make peace
Still decided to love
Though I wonder
How many times can it crack before it shatters
