Butterflies

In an blink of an eye
Thunderstorm blew past and summer arrived
It seems surreal
Just as how it always had been with you

Heart seemed pounding faster
My breath isn't as usual
I wonder,
Is this the feeling of love
Its exciting yet scary

How you could drop me to tears
Pull the strings like I'm a puppet
How easy I could forget the anger
And only remember yesterday
The aroma of sweetness that lingers

It would be safer to fold
Like in a game of poker
When my stomach is giving me butterflies
Check, I decided
Looking at you raise yet another level
Is scary, should I
Check, I followed nevertheless

Raise, and you said once again
Eyes on me, you challenge me
To and fro, we go
It was then I realised

This poker will never end
And there will be no winner or loser
Best poker game ever
