Part 42 I promise

I did my best to almost carry benny up the stairs of the bunker we reached a landing with doors to a floor and benny collapsed on the floor gasping for breath, coughing up more blood unable to move anymore, I ran up the stairs finding one of the prisoners 

“Hey, what’s your name?”

“Staven” He says

“What are you in for?”

“Political protest”
“Okay, you lead everyone out, follow the stairs to level three and go out though the shipping bay, it’s pretty damn cold but if you can swim for it long enough, they’ll pick you up and get you out of here.” I explained 

“What about you?” He asked

“I… I have to take him somewhere, if I don’t… he’ll die.” I said “just do it, trust me you’ll be fine. I did that and got all the way to germany once” I explained 

He nodded and headed up the staircase, I headed over and picked benny up carrying him though till I reached the small elevator, having to lay him on the floor watching his skin turning red, his skin sweating, his breaths sharp and jagged, his body often shivering “shhh its okay benny, It’s okay, You’re gonna be okay”

“What have they done to me?” He asks 

“Nothing bad, don’t worry” I said

“What is happening to me, Please?”

“you're… you're going to be okay benny I promise" I told him holding his hand tightly he smiled to me slightly gentle running his finger across his ring on my fingers 

"You shouldn't have come back for me…"

"I wasn't going to leave you. I'm going to get you out of here, I promise" I smiled but before we could say another word the doors opened and there looming over us, with no escape. Was Casak.
