I entered the room quickly, half expecting my room to be destroyed .. and half expecting Brooke and Aesop to still be .. "fighting."

Examining my bedroom, there wasn't anything out of the ordinary. I couldn't even tell where the two had gone. ...That was until Aesop started speaking — it was a low, grumbly tone that sounded .. very annoyed.

"...E—Eli Clark .. help me, would you—?!"

The demon groaned out in frustration — and as I turned towards the direction of his voice .. I couldn't help but laugh.

He appeared to have fallen into my closet, clothes scattered across the floor. He was stuck in a spare box I had in there, arms thrashing about as he attempted to get out.

I put a hand against my mouth to muffle my laughter, walking over to Aesop, looking down towards him. He didn't like this, however, immediately he stuck his tongue out at me, rolling his eyes.

I held out my free hand to him, muffled laughter continuing to escape from my lips. "—sorry, sorry-"

He hastily took my hand, pulling himself up quickly from the depth of the boxes, dusting himself off as he released my hand, glaring at me.

"Pfft — okay, okay .. do you know where Brooke -" I began before I was quickly cut off by the other.

"That manic animal?"

"Err .. sure. Do you know where she went—? she came in here with you last .."

Aesop pointed to the other side of the room, and as I followed his finger and .. Brooke was there, just sitting on my drawer.

"I don't see why you keep such a vile animal inside of your home .."  the demon grumbled crossing his arms as he wandered out of my bedroom, once more.

I chuckled, quickly gesturing to Brooke, to which she flew swiftly, settling onto my shoulder. I walked out of my room, catching up to Aesop.

He sat on the floor in the middle of the room, tapping down against the floor as he grumbled to himself, eyes narrowing as he saw both me and Brooke enter.

I set Brooke into her cage, walking towards the other, sitting down next to him. To which he immediately backed up, bringing his knees to his chest. I sighed softly before speaking,

".. so .. I - I have school tomorrow, and considering .. you and Brooke don't quite .. get along .."

"Just what are you proposing, Eli Clark?"

"Well, you kinda .. have to go to school with me, I - I guess."

Immediately at the statement, Aesop groaned, muttering underneath his breath angrily before speaking once more,

"Fine. I suppose I will go with you. It would b better than here with that vile bird of yours."

"Good—! Thank you, Aesop, um .. yeah, thank you."

"...Whatever. Now, go get rest. I do not want to be dragging you along all day because you are tired. Go. Shoo."

He shoved at my shoulder, pointing down the hall. So, with that, I stood, walking down to my room, plopping down onto my bed.

Going to school with Aesop wouldn't be too bad ..

Right?
