note — many apologies for such a late update !! school's been kicking my ass , and I only just started doing better. I'll try to update more regularly, though !! thanks for sticking around dearies. <3"Sooo.." Fiona began, crossing her arms as she spoke.
Sighing, Aesop spoke up, "...Yes? Go on."
Small chatter filled the table as we all waited for our questions to be answered. By we, I mean my friend group — and not me. I live with the guy, anyways. If I have a question I can just ask.
"Mm," Again, the redhead paused, dragging out her answer purposefully. "How did youuu.. come into this world, I guess? Uh... dimension? Whatever — how'd you get.. here?"
"...Truthfully, when you foolish beings," Glancing toward Fiona, Emma, Norton and finally Me, the demon inhaled, rubbing his temples. "Decided it would be such a lovely idea to perform a ritual —"
He was cut off by Emma's giggles, glaring at her as she struggled to speak between laughs. "I — I'm sorryy — it's just - heh — Fiona and Eli were.. were arguing over if it was done correctly. And — And.. it's just — funny 'cause it did work! You're — You're sitting right in front of us, hehe—"
"Enough of that. Where was I? Before I was rudely interrupted by Miss Emma. Ah, once the ritual had been completed, you... essentially open a portal. Between where I am from, and this.. place."
Michiko raised her hand politely, "If I may, I have a question."
"Very well." Aesop nodded, looking across the table, "Take notes. Lady Michiko has manners."
As Mary scoffed at that comment, Michiko continued, "Ahem. As Fiona had mentioned before... would one classify it as a.. World or a Dimension?"
"Truly, it does not quite matter. The wording, I mean." He gave a nod, covering his mouth as he yawned softly, yet discreetly. "Both mean essentially the same. 'The Earth Dimenson,' — 'The Earth World.' See..?"
Everyone at the table gave a nod as I looked toward the demon, giving a look to try and say, 'You okay?' — to which he noticed, and he responded with a nod, giving a thumbs up shortly after.
He began again, "...Ah. Uh, well, I went through this portal, before any other demon with bad intentions could enter."
"Chéri... what were your intentions, if they were not bad ones?" Mary asked behind her hand fan, giving a tilt of the head.
Pondering the question, Aesop tapped his chin before answering, "..I am not quite sure. I.. saw the portal — filled with... clueless mortals, and entered. I am not aware why, however."
He rested his chin into his palm, rubbing at his eyes as he began to speak, "..And then, I found myself... here. That is.. all." He nodded, as the table applauded lowly, soft chatter going around the table.
"Mhm, mhm — that'd be cool!"
"No, do not do that-!"
"It is becoming very late, mon amour — One... requires... beauty rest... hm."
"There's a really cool spot on campus —"
... And so on. Chatter filled the room for quite a while before we had all noticed Aesop — who had fallen asleep, laying there peacefully.
"..Heh — I think that's our cue to leave, yeah? Mike's been messaging me non stop too, sooo.." Norton added as he stood.
"Yeah, yeah..! It's late, anyway." Emma chuckled, going around the table saying goodnight — even to Aesop.
Eventually, everyone had gathered their things and headed out. Which... left the passed out Aesop on the table. Nice.
"..Okay, come on, jeez.." Putting the boys arm around my shoulders, I picked him up, bridal style.
...Which was a lot harder than I thought it would be, I could only make it to the couch. I mean, it was better than both of us on the floor, so I'm not really complaining.
I attempted to sit him upright, but he was... asleep. So, he kept falling.. so instead, I let him fall into my shoulder. Eventually, though, it turned into him falling into my lap.
I ran a few fingers through his hair, mumbling, "..Must've been tiring answering those questions... should've said somethin'... and he calls me stupid boy."
I chuckled, gaze becoming foggier as I ran m my fingers through Aesop's hair — and eventually I dozed off.
... This was quite nice.
