chapter six the moon festival

Arthur's POV:

tonight was the night a human and vampire would become one she would finally be mine all mine and I will love her till the day I am no more I was so ecstatic I went outside and noticed she was making something

Arthur- my love what do you have there

Fox- oh I've been learning how to make ears out of leaves and vines what do you think ? I think I might wear them to the festival tonight if you don't mind

Arthur- oh of course not my love I bet they look absolutely stunning on you my dear

She blushed and smiled that cute smile of hers and continued working on her little ears I walked back inside and started to prepare all the food and our garments

( a few hours later )

I sat there in anticipation just waiting to see her in that lovely gown of hers she came of her room in the lovely black dress and her ears and a mask that made her look like she was a fox she looked stunning

Arthur- my dear you...you like absolutely .... absolutely i..I don't even have the words to describe how beautiful you look my love

Fox- th..thank you. You look just as handsome as always my fine gentlemen

Arthur- why thank you my love well then should we be off to the party

Fox- well you can go but I have to wait its custom for the men to attend the festival first and then an hour later all the women can come

Arthur- alright my love then I shall see you there

I kissed her cheek and headed for town every thing was falling right into place and if these next few hours go as planned then everything will work out just fine. I waited for about an hour and then the woman started to come around the corner a few of them checked me out and winked at me but I was awaiting my darling Beauty to come around that corner and sure enough she did looking as stunning as ever

Arthur- why hello there pretty lady care for dance hmmmm

Fox- why of course i would love to dance with such a fine gentlemen such as your self

I took her by the arm and we went to join in on the festival we ate and drank a bit before they lit the huge fire in the center of town it lit up the whole night sky like a raging forest fire the whole town had been illuminated it was absolutely stunning it was hard to tell exactly who everyone around us was because of the masks but I guess that's the whole point of a masquerade I myslef had a handsome wolf mask it wasn't very fitting but it worked Darick and his date took to the dance floor to start off the first dance of the night and shortly after more and more people joined in and eventually me and Fox did as well. I twirled and spinned her around under the lovely night sky letting myslef completely fall under a trance and forgetting that there was others around us and Fox did the same but just as I was snapped outbof it for the more upbeat song I noticed Darick looking at us envying just what I had and out of spite I wanted him to feel jealous I wanted him to know he could never have this and that it was all mine we continue to dance the night away and we both eventually got tired and had to stop for a quick break part of the time while dancing Darick attempted at switch his partner to Fox but I was always 2 steps ahead of him as we sat there enjoying the cool refreshing air of the night sky and soaking in all the full moons beauty it had hit the highest point it could in the sky and I knew it was time it was the perfect time the moon was shining just right and the party was still in full swing no one would ever even know we were missing let alone care that we were gone
