"I don't remember when I started drawing. I felt like I always noticed myself drawing something. For me, drawing was recreation, communication, a memorandum a record of my feelings, memories. Pictures I've kept drawing day after day were almost like a diary."
Hope and Josie were on the hood of their parked car overlooking a cliff side. Side by side Josie used Hopes shoulder as a pillow. Hope had found a perfect spot to watch the sunrise. They were going to wake up the girls but they were peacefully sleeping and didn't want to wake them.
"But when you moved to Europe i saw that there was no map of a future where I was there with you. When I thought about that I couldn't draw anything anymore. Now it's all I can think about."
Josie turned to her side to face Hope. The fairly dimly lit sky was enough to cast a light onto Hope's eyes brightening them up. Becoming bluer and lighter. It was Josies favorite color.
"Having fun, being in love, feelings like that overflow the more you try to hold them down." Josie adjust herself facing the horizon once more. The colors began to glow as the sun began to make its way into the sky. The colors of pink, orange, yellow, red, filled the sky creating the beautiful strawberry sky as Hope called it. The colors were warm, along with the atmosphere around her.
"Since we've known each other we had always been at a distance. Looking and admiring each other from afar. I knew from the moment I looked into your eyes that once we touched, I won't want to let go. If I got closer, I wouldn't want to distance myself. This minute this second so that I will never forget..." Hope leaned in closer cupping Josies face kissing her gently pulling back only to touching a lock of Josies hair and move it back into place.
Hope ran her fingers through Josies hair before tracing a soft line down Josies neck making her roll her eyes back and get goosebumps simultaneously. 'What a tease', Josie thought.
"Come on let's head back home." Hope slowly got up and twisted her back. She hopped off the car reaching her hands towards Josie to help her down.
Josie thanked Hope and leaned down to plant a kiss, however it was interrupted by Hope's phone that began to ring. Hope quickly ran to the car to answer it or shut it off so her daughters wouldn't wake up. When she got in the car the phone that was on the dash board rang once more. Hope grabbed it, answering it.
"What the Fuck do you want?!" Hope said in a loud whisper.
"You know most people would greet their best friends with a good morning, how did you sleep, but no I get a What the fuck to do you want by Ms to good for anyone but Josie apparently" Jed laughed through the other side of the call. Hope rolled her eyes and nodded to Josie to get in. She opened the door and got into the car turning back to check on her daughters who were still sound asleep.
"Yeah but you're you. Now what do you want?" Hope sighed turning on the car engine.
"We have a problem?" Jed hesitated.
"What kind of problem?" Hope asked worryingly
"Well the director for that company that you made the proposal for wants to meet with the C.E.O or chairman of the board later today to sign some documents." Jed answered. Hope run her fingers through her hair as she looked to Josie apologetically. Josie gave Hope a tight lip smile turning away.
"Jed I-"
"He said if you don't show up he is going back on the deal."
"Jed I-" hopes was about to tell Jed she was with her family but Josie took the phone from hopes hand.
