Chapter 4: Party night

We were back in history class, and I don't think this could get any worse. "The Battle of Willow Creek took place right at the end of the war in our very own Mystic Falls. How many casualties resulted in this battle? Ms. Bennett?" Tanner asked Bonnie.

"Um...a lot? I'm not sure. Like a whole lot." Bonnie answered not knowing the answer. "Cute becomes dumb in an instant, Ms. Bennett. Mr. Donovan? Would you like to take this opportunity to overcome your embedded jock stereotype?" Tanner said being well Tanner.

"It's okay, Mr. Tanner, I'm cool with it." Matt replied causing the class to chuckle and me to roll my eyes. I wonder how Josies doing. "Hmm. Elena? Surely you can enlighten us about one of the town's most significantly historical events?" Tanner now questioned Elena.

   "I'm sorry, I--I don't know." Elena said looking down embarrassed. "I was willing to be lenient last year for obvious reasons, Elena. But the personal excuses ended with summer break." Tanner said being an asshole. That really pissed me off so I decided to say something.

   "Hey! Asshole, shut the fuck up! I don't know what the personal reasons were but that doesn't give you the right to be a duck and bring it up in front of class. You may think it makes you cooler but it just makes people hate you. And the answer your looking for is 346 casualties. Unless you're counting local civilians." I said making Tanner look at me with hatred.

   "That's correct. Miss...?" Tanner asked. "Parks." I answered. "Well there were no civilian casualties in this battle." He said smugly. "Actually, there were 27, sir. Confederate soldiers, they fired on the church, believing it to be housing weapons. They were wrong. It was a night of great loss. The founder's archives are, uh, stored in civil hall if you'd like to brush up on your facts, Mr. Tanner." Stefan said backing me up.
—————Time Skip—————
   Stefan decided to walk with us to the party in the woods. "So um... what are you doing in Mystic Falls?" He asked. "We just decided to move. Get away from the death of our parents." Josie said. "Oh um I'm sorry. How's they die? I-if you don't mind telling me." He asked.

   "Um they, they were murdered. We saw them die right in front of us." I answered this time. I then looked down with tears in my eyes. "That's terrible! Are you guys ok?" He asked us concerned. "Yeah. No, no we aren't ok. But we will be."

   "You guys won't be sad all the time." He said right before we walked  in the party. We saw drunk and high kids. Even if we weren't vampires, we would have smelt the booze on their breaths 5 feet away from them.

   If there's one thing Mystic Falls knows how to do is party. Stefan them waved bye to us and went to look for Elena. Caroline approached him and started talking. I didn't listen in though, I don't want to hear my mom flirting.

   After a while Josie and I went into the woods to get away from all the blood. We were a good distance from the party when a black shadow ran past us. If I was a human I probably would have straight up shot ourselves. But from our history class and Stefan's journals in the future we know it's just Damon being a dick.

   Then Damon started to circle us before pinning me to the tree behind me by my throat. "Hello." He said trying to be sexy. Ewwww, he so ugh. I also hated him when he first arrived in Mystic Falls. What he did to the people here and my mom, unacceptable.

"Um sorry but I don't know you. Stranger danger and all." I said trying to get him to leave without traveling what Josie and I are. "Of course. But how about we don't be strangers?" He asked very creepily. "We are in the woods alone. No one to witness this and you want to not be strangers. Um how about no." I said sassily making Josie pinch me. He just growled before trying to bite me.

   "Hey! Get off me you psycho!" I screamed. I then pushed him back and into a tree branch. Unfortunately it didn't pierce his heart, damn my luck just keeps getting worse. "Don't try that again." Josie and I said at the same time. We then walked back to the party and stayed around Stefan.

   Elena went into the woods following after Jeremy. After a few minutes they both came out screaming carrying a girl who was bleeding. Josie and I looked at each other before nodding. We backed away slowly, like Stefan. We hadn't eaten in a while and exposed blood isn't helping.

   Stefan and I made eye contact before we all ran away. We ran to the boarding house. Stefan up too his room after explaining what happened to Zach, we we to Josies room. After a while we heard a crash. Damon and Stefan. Cue eye roll, some people might be trying to sleep. Damon left, and shortly after so did Stefan.

Hey I know this was a shorter chapter than normal, I just wanted to say I will be updating on Sunday, Wednesday, and Saturday. Sometimes on Friday's. I just started school this week. I go to an early college high school. So while juggling my high school assignments I also have college classes. They started this Wednesday so I have been trying to get my assignments in. Please be patient if I don't post on the days that are scheduled.

I do have another story about z nation I probably will have more chapters posted to that one because I have the episodes as my guide and don't have to come up with many new scenarios. You can check it out if you want to, but I do advise watching the show unless you are fine with spoilers.
