"Can I help you?" Said an intimidating man standing in the doorway of the recruitment centre while Chantelle look in the window. Chantelle froze. She just stared him dead in the eyes.
"Um,um. Maybe, no ,yes" said Chantelle, still froze on the spot. "Yes. Can you tell me a bit about the army?"
Chantelle finally managed to move from her superglued spot and entered the recruitment centre. Her and the officer sat for ages talking about the army.
"The British Army protects the United Kingdom's interests at home and abroad, providing a safe and secure environment." The intimidating man said this just as it said on the leaflet, like he had it rehearsed just for this situation. Time passed, as Chantelle asked continuing questions. This was more than she had ever asked in her entire life at school.
When the finished talking, one thing came into Chantelle's head,"How would you feel?"
Little did her geography teacher know, this innocent, rhetorical question may have just changed Chantelle's life...
