CHAPTER TWO: nevarro

THE LEVIATHAN FOUND herself in the Outer Rim Territories with a smile on her face. A rare scene to behold. She was alone in the cockpit, finally free of the constriction of her custom-fitted mask and goggles that hid her features. Subconsciously she rubbed her ear lobes, soft and punctured with rare seafoam pearl earrings that curled up to her pointed cartilage. They were adorned by other jewels and metals of her home planet.

The cockpit was made up of three-panelled windows for a view of the star flecked galaxy. A single pilot swivel chair with black cushioning, where her arms rested on the sides was placed in reach of the control dashboard. The queen of the galaxy sitting on her throne she sometimes indulged in thought, but more realistically the queen of her own ship, Starlight. She was nothing anymore. Just a bounty hunter feigning for cash and desperation of finalizing the truth of her past. A sad picture of what her hopeful future could've been if it wasn't destroyed by the thieving Empire.

Her brother, after silence of three years, had been sighted again. The last time she heard rumours of the young Draggone prince was just a fluttering hope in the wind. This new information was concrete evidence he was alive.

But for how long? Her mind asked the question she desperately chose to ignore. His bounty puck had been picked up a few weeks back at the first hearing of the famously lost prince. The price was astonishing... and they wanted him alive.

"You missed your chance," Greef Karga's rough voice called for the Leviathan's attention as she pushed herself up from the table.

She paused, her brutal glove still in reach of the man's throat. What he had given her was good enough, not as good as last time but still enough for food and fuel and a tad for savings. There would have been more if she weren't late, a bad habit she had begun to pick up over the years. Karga let it go most of the time, knowing she was good for bringing in high-bountied quarries.

"On what?"

"Last week there was bounty puck you might've been interested in. I was actually saving it for you, my friend, but per usual you were late. Someone snatched it up before I could show it to you." He leaned forward, hands out on the table in a friendly drawn manner. They had finished her business, why now was he reeling her back in?

"And what would I be so interested in?" She inquired.

"The bounty of the lost prince of Draggone. Zale Sonja."

She clamped her mouth shut before she could correct his pronunciation. Her heart sank. Under her goggles she closed her eyes, panic began to rush in. She didn't let it show, as per usual she kept her calm presence before him despite the flurry of emotions thundering beneath.
