Fresh Start

I close my car door, my arms weighing down due to the amount of groceries. I walk in my new apartment building and get in the elevator, clicking button number 3.

Once it comes to a stop I get out and start walking towards my door, trying to grab my keys at the same time. Then next thing I new I was face down on the floor.

I brushed myself off and started picking up my groceries when I hear a faint voice come from behind me,

"Do you need some help?" The man says bending down and throwing things in bags

"Yes thank you so much" I replied

After we pick them up he helped me carry them in and put them away. He was very attractive, tall with brown hair and green eyes. He had on black jeans, a black long sleeve shirt, with a gold belt which really tied the outfit together.

After we finished he said,

"I'm Karl by the way, what's your name"

"Y/n" I replied in a soft voice, I had always been shy. Even when I was little.

We small talked for a bit and eventually it was getting late.

"Are you familiar with the area?" He asked

"No not really. I just moved here hoping for new opportunities so I'm not too sure what much there is here"

"Well, why don't I show you around tomorrow? I'll come pick you up" Karl asked

"That would be great, thank you again"

"Yeah of course. I'm gonna head home, see you tomorrow y/n" he waved and flashed a smile before heading out

And with that, I headed to bed and drifted off to sleep.
