~Y/n's POV~

"What the fuck is going on.. where am I?" I screamed

Am I in a casket? Is this a funeral? FOR ME??? WHAT THE FUCK. I looked around and everyone looked pale and everyone gasped. My whole family is here..

Karl just stared at me. He didn't move or anything. Just stood there.

Then suddenly he ran at me and lifted me up. I laughed and wrapped my arms around his neck. Even though I was still so clueless, he brought me so much joy I didn't even care at the time.

~Karl's POV~

OH MY GOD.. this is an actual fucking miracle. I was sobbing tears of joy now and everyone gathered around us and had a huge group hug. Everyone was crying, including me of course. I couldn't believe this. How is this even possible??

I don't even care actually. She's finally back in my arms. After months of waiting. She's finally back.

~Y/n's POV~

On our way to Karl's house Karl had explained every single thing that happened after the car crash which somehow I still remembered. I couldn't believe it.. how am I even alive?

We walked in and I immediately just hugged the living shit out of Karl. We finally got to watch high school musical, after Karl had waited months. I couldn't believe he waited for me.. he could've just left me. But he didn't. He stayed, but why?

~Karl's POV~

I knew I needed to confess my feelings so I didn't have any regrets again.. I decided to take her out to dinner tonight and after take her to go star gazing. Then I will finally tell her and ask her to be mine. And I just can't wait.

A few hours later and we were ready to go. All I told her was that I wanted to take her for a surprise. We decided to go to Red lobster since me and her both love seafood, she tried insisting on paying but I wouldn't let her, of course.

I walked her back to the car and opened the door for her,

"M'lady"

She shot me an adorable smile and got in. As I started the car I was starting to have second thoughts..

What if she doesn't like me back? Or she isn't ready? What if she stops being friends with me for good?

"Karl?" Y/n says quietly

"Huh? Oh oh yeah sorry my bad" I let out with a slight jump.

I was very nervous obviously but I tried to tell myself it was going to be alright.

Eventually we got to the beach. Right where I wanted to tell her. The moon shined perfectly on the water, creating the most gorgeous reflection. I told y/n to wait in the car while I got everything ready, she just nodded and scrolled through Twitter.

I got the fairy lights, blanket, candle, and my gift.

I layer down the blanket not too far from the water since the waves were very small and calm.

Then I put the fairy lights around the perimeter of the blanket and flicked the on switch

And last but not least I lit the candle right in the middle of the blanket.

I took a glance at the gift I got her and smiled a bit before putting it in my hoodie pocket.

"Y/n you can come over now" I said with a huge beaming smile

She started giggling and walked over to our little 'setup' if you will, she gasped and covered her mouth

"This is so adorable!! Thank you Karl" she said excitedly while hugging me

"You haven't even figured out why were here yet you nimrod" I said jokingly

"Oh hush," she said sitting down

We just sat, watching the water for a bit before she nervously said

"Karl, speaking of which, why are we here? Not that I mind it! It's beautiful, but you said there was a reason?"

I played with my nails a bit before deciding that it was time to do it, and pop the big question.

I stood up and reached my hand down to y/n and she took it, now standing with me.

I grabbed both of her hands and faced her looking her in the eyes

I took a deep breath and finally started,

"Y/n, listen.. I have a confession of some sort. I'm not sure if it'll make or break us but it's just the risk I'm going to have to take. When you flatlined, I immediately regretted not telling you it sooner. I'm very nervous as it is sort of a big deal to me and it doesn't come very often for me specifically.."

She was just staring me dead in the eyes with a worried yet curious look

I continued,

"I really like you y/n. And I wanted to know.."

I reached in my pocket and grabbed out the ring box, and got on one knee..

"What the fuck Karl are you proposing?!" Y/n said worriedly

"Oh my goodness no" I said in between chuckles

I slowly opened the ring box facing her and revealed the beautiful matching diamond rings

"When you let me win in the hide and seek challenge I had saved the money, the night I asked you to come over and watch high school musical with me I had bought these that morning and was going to do this then but obviously never got the chance to.."

I sighed,

"Will you be my girlfriend, y/n?"
