Jennie's POV

"Okay friends and family of Jennie Ruby Jane Kim. Get out."

"B-but we just got here." Jisoo Unnie whined.

Nurse Kim points at the clock mockingly. "Well maybe you should visit her again next time, when you have more visiting time."

Irene Unnie just shushed everyone and motioned them to calm down. I like this unnie.

"Kids, just go say byebye to Jennie and we can come visit again tomorrow. Text us if you need anything dear." She smiled to me and kissed my forehead.

"Thank you Unnie." I smiled back at her with my dashing gummy smile.

The rest of the girls soon came over and said their goodbyes and left after whining at Nurse Kim.

"See you in a bit. Don't forget to rest a lot and maybe dream of me." She winked and ran out of the room. Aish Nurse Kim, always such a tease.

It wasn't long until Lisa came to visit me again the next day. Even if I had only known her for a few hours, that chat with her really captivated me. I don't know what it is about her, but she brings me a sense of comfort. I'm glad I married her instead of some mindless pervy man. Just the thought of it sends chills down my spine.

"Hey Jenjen! How are you doing?" She smiled at me as she placed the fruit basket on the table nearby.

"Yeah I'm doing pretty great here. I can't really go anywhere, but Nurse Kim never fails to make me irritated." I laughed at her face.

"Should I go and fire her?" I chuckled a little bit but when I saw she was completely serious, I started to panic.

"No no no. Of course not. I was only joking. She is a really good nurse and she keeps my company. Please don't make her lose her job." I begged her with puffed out cheeks. I heard that can make anyone simp for me.

"I'm glad you think so highly of me." came the muffled reply from behind the door. Lisa and I turned to look at the source and found Nurse Kim opening the door to my room with a tray in hand. "Breakfast is ready, Mistress."

I rolled my eyes at her and the two laughed at me. In a nice way. Not a mocking way of course. They would never do that to me, they-

Calm.

"Thank you Nurse Kim." I managed to say after their laughter died down.

"Anything for you, ma'am." And she dash out of the room like a little kid. Sometimes I wonder how she landed this job.

"So..." Lisa began. I turned my head to look at her, urging her to continue. "Did the doctor say when you can leave?"

I gulped and looked away from her. The doctor had come into my room previously, and has stated that the result was actually worse than they had thought previously. Apparently, the car that hit me had hit me pretty hard in the legs. The bones broke, and are having a hard time to repair. Which means I wouldn't be able to walk. I would have to be in a wheelchair for God knows how long.

I didn't want to tell Lisa that and make her worried. Even my friends and family still doesn't know.

"The...the doctor said I would have to stay here for a while actually." She looked down sadly. I didn't want that. "But maybe you can buy me coffee and we can have a date here!" I smiled brightly and that seems to cheer her up.

She nodded like a happy little puppy and sprints out of my room. I couldn't help but laugh at how eager she is. We've only known each other for a few days, and here she is acting like a happy girlfriend. Not that I mind it or anything. It's just a nice change from what I'm used to.

A few minutes later she barged into the room with two cups of steaming hot chocolate.

"I didn't know how you like you coffee, so I bought you hot chocolate instead. No one can resist a hot chocolate." She grinned and handed me a cup. "Careful, it's hot. Wait. Lemme get that table for you."

When we got ourselves sorted, we started to chat about everything. We got to know each other more, what they do, how their family is, what is their favourite colour. Just, everything.

It was a nice and peaceful conversation, just two friends getting to know each other. Because obviously, communication is the key to any relationship. And ours was just starting.

"Wait so you're telling me your cat bit you, because you were on call and that other person called him 'Fat Leo'?"

"Yeah! It hurts like hell but I learnt a valuable life lesson after that. Never call him fa-"

"HEY JENNIE WHA- OMG HELLO YOU MUST BE THE MISSUS!" Yeri ran over to the now flustered girl.

"Hello," Lisa greets her calming, shaking Yeri's hand over and over. "congratulations on your marriage by the way. You look really good together." She smiled shyly. It must have felt like meeting the in-laws after all.

"Aw, thank you Lisa! I see you got yourself a wife too!" This kid...

"Ah, yeah. Jennie is really nice. But you already knew that-" She kept mumbling and it was just an adorable sight.

"Hey hey, Lis. Calm down." I laughed quietly and rubbed her back. I wonder how she's a CEO when she's this shy. She smiled at me nervously before turning back to my friends.

"Nice to officially meet you!" She stuck out her hand for everyone to shake. "It's a pleasure to get to know the people close to my family."

"Likewise." Then she turned into protective dad mode. "What are your intentions with out Ruby Jane here." She scowled at the slightly panicking CEO.

"Jisoo- what are you doing?"

"What I am suppose to do as your sister-but-not-really. She's gotta have the sister talk before she can marry you. Or like. The other way around, but she has got to have THE TALK."

"Jisoo-"

"No buts!"

I looked over at my other friends and they were all just stopping themselves from laughing. They wouldn't help.

"So Lisa..."

I looked up at my wife and back to my best friend and back again.

"Yes ma'am?"

"Do you like Mario Kart?"

I'm gonna kill her.
